what string problems?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Rayne on 2004-02-27 at 08:14:04
Well im not sure if its a bug or raw stupidity on my part but through out the building of a map i will turn on and off "Allow Unit Placment Anywere" to allow me to place certain buildings on illegal locations. Then switch it back on so i dont place a unit in one and have the map give me an "BUZZ, cannot place this unit on map" while playing. After awhile the map will automaticly delete all illegaly placed buildings without any reason to my knowledge besides switching the option that allows me to place it.

The option doesn't affect the map nor SC, it is only while placing in the editor, so anything that happens in starcraft is unrelated to the settings in scmdraft

oh, just keep allow illegal buildings unchecked and you will be fine, it does that when placing terrain so that the map works with staredit / SC without any possible issues.

Ahh go figure eh.. lol well thanks for the info Now i just have to keep that in mind so i dont go build alot and have it all erased.

well I do have an undo function, it ought to also restore those units, unless I forgot to add that.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Rayne on 2004-02-27 at 13:22:13
Do you mean just the regular Undo command?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SI on 2004-02-27 at 13:54:05
yeah, plain undo should replace units deleted when changing terrain and if it doesn't I'll add it in the next version.
