1v1 Space, 96x128.

Pretty fun map, I play tested it with Oddangel. Ask him how I pwned him. (jk)
Quick expansions, on high platform in the bases. mineral expos in mid. Min expos on top left and bottom right. Players on top right and bottom left. Expansions with gas on the left mid and right mid, and upper left and lower right.

Play on the map, its fun.

If it's just me, then disregard this:


personally, i sort of have a problem with thin walls surrounding mineral encampments. It is a huge advantage to terran; they could just park siege tanks behind them and blast away enemies.

But then that's just my uneducated thought happy.gif . Good job neways

This is a pretty decent map. I only have perhaps two gripes with it though:

One, and this applies to a few recently submitted maps, is with the dual expos in the middle. I was never really fond of that. I understand the want for symmetry, but is it necessary to have one big cache in the center?

Second, is the linear path. I could easily trace the route with 3 straight lines. I think it could be better if there were alternate paths, and a little more variety in the terrain.

the middle expos aren't just for symmetry, they are also to have something to fight over in the middle. However, if you have one path to each base, there isn't much point.

I agree this is a decent map, but there is that flaw, along with the fact that terran can easily hold two expos without a sweat.

i dont like the idea of 4 island expos on a 1v1 map, but on the upside i think the map layout looks very styleish

You should make more than 1 way to get to the ennemy as some1 stated before.

Hmm, about the one route, i tried, in the map, to help quick air for all races, so a ground route would not be as important. I guess it doesnt matter, did any of you actually play the map?

I guess i will take out the middle expansions and just make one.

Here is a map update. I basically just fixed the ramp and area for the blues nat and completely transformed the center. I hope you like it!

I pretty much know every counter attack in the game, so when I make maps, small things like little walls that tanks can hide behind arent a factor for me. Judging by the size of the bases, and the fact that this is a small 1v1 map, this seems more of an an offencive type map. Like defence isnt going to be much of a factor.

Otherwise, its a decent map. A little too organized though...

There should only be one way... Because, It's a good map for air units... And just air units, Ground unit's would not go good in this map...

Ground units would be unstoppable. Good luck stopping a push on this map, with no flanking room and an easy expo for terran.

Yea, Like I said earlier, This map is going to be hard to stop that, Ihatett, without changing the entire map.


Cobra, this isn't small. Its 96x128 128x128 is average for 4 players.
Many pro maps are done in 96x128, and i thought it would fit this map well.

Ok, Im starting to get pissed off. There are some maps in the pro section with HUGE flaws, and mine which has one minor flaw is put in the regular section. Even so, whats wrong with allowing a tank push? Its one of terrans only advantages on this map, it can easily be countered.
I am wondering who has accepted my last few maps into the DLDB, I didnt get PMed (BeerKeg usually PMs you telling you about your map). I want to know who made these decisions.
