I am trying to use gridding by the example maps i found in the expiramental maps download section but am finding it rather hard to construct what i want. I want to have a tank that can be moved around but has a bunker full of men that moves directly under it an then moves away, so it looks like they are firing from the tank. Can anyone help me?

Um i know how air based grids work. I need ground based grids

then why dont you just use burrowed units? i may not be understanding your question

You are speaking of a mobile grid. It has the same concept as the tutorial. And ground based grid and air based grids are the same thing. They just have different unit placements...

And about the bunker full of marines. I assume you are using the "Units Shooting From Nowhere" right? I'm pretty sure you will need to unload the bunker, move it under the tank, reload it, and then move it away before it looks like it's shooting from under the tank.

Legcacy weapon is right, but the tank stops every time it moves.

Make the grid twice going down both times.

Could you elaborate?

How are you going about moving the Bunker under the Tank?

When you mean under, do you mean down?

CODE
...Y...
...X...
Where Y = Tank and X = Bunker?

I'm saying you should move the location that the bunkers are being moved to down twice with the mobile grid.

The men are going to fire from the same spot regardless of where you move the Bunker.

Moose, what if you unload the bunker at that spot and then reload it, then move it?

the bunker is going to be underneath the tank. So that, it appears that the "fire from nowhere" appears to be coming out of the tank. The bunker needs to be moved to the location of the tank

Now that's hard...
First youd have to remove the tank, move the bunker, unload, reload, teleport bunker away, move tank back. and the unllaoding and laoding will take around a second, and you have to time it right...

It'll work if you get your triggers straight.
But it'd be a bitch to have to click on your tank while it's being removed and created every time it moves.
Maybe move it to a subtle spot you can see then move it back.

Then it MIGHT work if you use hypers and use no waits.

Or just make it a spelll, to happen once instead of every second... Or you can scrap the idea.. If only bunkers could float sad.gif.... that would make the coolest thing... Send tons of floating bunkers into a base attacking down... It'd be like dropship, you load the men only if marines could shoot from dropships... and dropships were slow like buildings..
