Ok so here's the deal. I don't necessarily need to use this, but I am just curious as to why Arbiters act this way. To clarify that it is not for a simple reason, here is what I do to make sure that it is supposed to work right. But first off, as a couple of side notes, I would like to say that I used hyper triggers to make this trigger operate much faster, and I do have an Arbiter owned by Player 8 to operate the system.- I set Recall to 'Researched by Default'.
- I set it to cost 0 Energy.
The trigger is for Player 8 (computer) and it runs like this:
Trigger
Description:
Recall Repeat
|
Players:
¤ - Player 8
Conditions:
¤ - Always
Actions:
¤ - Run AI Script at Location: Cast Recall (arbiter required) at 'Location X' for 'Player 8'.
|
¤ - Preserve Trigger.
Overall, I believe that is it. What I am clarifying is: Why does the Arbiter stop recalling? Thanks for your help, everyone.
- ViLe(U) Im not sure, how long after it starts does it stop?
Who cares if you set the cost to zero?
Set his energy to 250 and preserve it.
NOW it keeps recalling.

I think, even though the mana cost is 0, the computer still thinks it's using up actual mana. And so it stops recalling when it thinks the arb is out.
no thats not the problem im sure of it...must be something else going on cause i made a recall recently and it worked fine with 0 mana
I think this is why many ppl add more than one arbiter to the map... but i'm just guessing...
you know... this reminds me of this problem in some games that i play
In some ums maps, i order a unit with weak attack to attack something that has lots of hp and armor. After a while, the unit stops attacking
this does not happen to patrol, order move, and hold position
i dont know about trigger actions though
i think it's caused by hyper triggers.................hope that wasnt just lots of babbling
nope..hyper triggers only make preserved triggers immediate
I had a similar problem to this, and found that it's because if you order recall with hyper triggers to multiple spots, it won't cast a recall on the other spots you tell it to while it's busy recalling elsewhere. Putting multiple arbiters doesn't solve that, either (unless they're for different players, each recalling in different areas).
I think its because one arbiter can only cast recall every 1 second. Have a few arbiters cast recall 250 milliseconds apart and see what happens.
I put one arbiter, 0ms hypertriggers, and a recall, 0 mana, no ressetting triggers, enable it, and then the AI. Play in game works for me...

Hey tux do you think thats because it selects the same arbitor for the AI every time?
Do you think if you cycle the arbitors the arbitor chosen to carry out the AI would also change? Like you would to center a locaiton on each one.
Just a thought...
Dunno. I know recall can be cast pretty quickly, but in each trigger loop a given arbiter can only cast once, though I remember in a test map that it didn't seem to cast to another spot even if I gave it a trigger loop between castings. Never really tried to figure out what was wrong.
As for how the AI works, it could just be that the first arbiter that it finds in the map (left to right) is the one that gets ordered, whether the others have energy or not.
As usual, another thing for someone with patience to test and confirm.

Exactly what i was wondering, that would be convient.
will these triggers (set correctly) be able to automaticly order a bunch of Queens (Owned by comp) to use broodling w/ no limits?
There is no AI to do that. Try and make one

Well how do you make an Ai for that?
There are ways, but they are difficult.
You mean modding

Plz explain Legacy weapon?
What programs?
How to opperate that program?
Where can i find it?
What requirements do i need?
I need to learn because i thirst for knowledge.
Thank you very much oh great legacy Weapon.
Now if i can learn how to use these mods.
The day u see Queens infecting and converting many units i.e. infection beam from HW:Cataclysm is when i've mastered modding.
If its a mod i won't see it.
