Alright, here's a 4 player map.

Size: 128x128
Players: 4
Tileset: Ashworld

Right now, i'm not sure my map isn't fine-tuned balanced. Perhaps you guys can give me some suggestions? Thx

Can you walk over the lava in the center circle thing? If so, there's 5 islands, which makes the center unwalkable and not much room to flank.

Cool map Millenium... To bad I can't ever make a good melee map on Ashworld tileset...Oh wellz

It's extremely hard to make melee maps with ashworld, since they have a very limited amount of terrain brushes and only the dirts and high dirts are buildable ones...

If you mean by air assault, then yes they are close. But not if u travel by ground. All four bases are on top of cliffs with the ramps at the tails.

But yea, i dunno... Should i make it just a 2 player map or what?

They're close by land as well. Look at 11 and 1.

ADDITION:
I don't know, if you make it two players, then the closeness of the bases would be magnified because you woudn't have to scout position.

Hmm, This is going to be a tough decision.

here are some things that could be unbalanced...
The expansion near the tail of teal's main should be on the inside, not the outside. But it would be hard to move it without changing the mains.

And Purples gas/mineral expansion is so close to the cliff that it can protect it with cliffed tanks while it would be harder to being another player.

The middle patch of minerals is a huge risk to go for, and it wouldnt have too many ood benifits.
it has slow mineral income and is hard as hell to protect.

This map would be hard with 4 people. There would not be enough expansions, because 4 player games always take a long time. So this map would be bast with 2 people.

MAYBE you could take out two players and put each of the two start locations in the corners of the map, and make a ramp. Then you would need to make that bigger, and take out 2 of those hilled mains in the middle.
do understand? That is only if you want to take exteme measures. i wouldnt promise anything great. maybe you should try it and make a backup. or else i could just Dl the map and try it out. (you could still have credit)

ADDITION:
BTW, Millenium army, you have good skills at melee map making, I hope you continue with it and get better and better. I will be here to help with any map biggrin.gif
