many people on battle.net have been fooled allready

people going around say things like: do you want to know you rank? want to join my clan if so do you know your rank? and other stuff. I know a lot of you Diablo2 players allready know of this, but i don't want you account to be stolen

heres what they do:

To see your rank type /dnd (accountname) (password)
/dnd will activate Do Not Disturb mode so you can not accept whispers, so then after you put that in, they say: "Whats your rank" then usually you say or some random person says "do not disturb engaged?" then the person whispers you and it says

"you cannot whisper this user (your username) (your password) they will then get on your account change the password, and buh bye everything
this also works for starcraft and warcraft 3 bnet and warcraft 3 but you have more to lose on DIablo 2 becasue you could loss a lot of items and good caracters

If you get fooled by this, you're just stupid...

Blizzard are stating the ONLY and ONE time you have to enter your B.net password is when you loggin... your problem if you fall for it.

I never knew there was a command in starcraft /dnd....
But yeah, even for commands I don't put my password on it. Fear of getting stolen. But sc accounts don't really matter THAT much.

I agree... anyone dumb enough to... well is there account really worth stealing?! Anyhow, I used /away instead of DND and there's no reason to ever type your account name and pass on b.net, just asking to mistype so everyone sees it. tongue.gif

yeah but you can;t misstyoe unless you forget to put the " / " in otherwise it's a B.net command and it will just come up with "code not recagnized" or something like that

This is so old... I've seen it around since I started bnet. DND is a freaking bnet command for Do Not Disturb.

Hmm..

So do you have to put your password for the /dnd command? then that would be easy to fall for.

unless you ment that they tell you to type /dnd (user) (pass) which , would just be stupid..
