Do you mean a converter or a wav-maker?

either a wav maker or something to turn mp3's in to a small wav file. or how do you compress wav files into smaller where staredit xtra could reconize it?

The wav file does not need to to be small for the editor to reconize it. It works as long as it is a wav. file. Compressing wav files is just to reduce the size of the map.

Converters you can find all over, you jsut have to look closely. I would send you a decoder, but not sure how big it is. (I have 2.32 mb left of file space)

I use YAMP. (HINT: Don't use demos that cut the end off of the sound, they sux)

I use the Acoustica Products. Very nice well made sound editors/creators/compressors/converters. You can get a trial version that you can use, don't know exactly where it is, but, just search for Acoustica in google and find it that way.

What is the limit to compressing a .wav and still have quality sound?
oh and speaking about sounds, how do you turn off the in game music in starcraft?
The terran tune does get anoying after a while and make you want to listen to some other music. I've looked in the options but I cant change it there.

It probably depends on the sound... just experiment and get away with whatever you can biggrin.gif .
