Listen, i predicted the pacers to lose to the pistons, but it will still be a great series.
The pacers have good matchups against the pistons, Jackson at 6'8'' will be able to guard Tayshaun Prince. Reggie Miller and Richard Hamilton are damn near identical except for the fact reggie can hit the 3 and hamilton isn't that good from beyond the arc, so we have the advantage there. O'neal is an underrated defender, he was 4th in blocks last year, i think he can keep Rasheed quiet. Ben wallace and Dale davis... thats a great matchup, neither of them are offensive stars, and they're both muscular as all hell, pay attention to the rebound statistics. The main problem the pacers have is at point guard. Anthony Johnson is definately not near as good as Chauncey Billups. Don't be surprised to see Fred Jones and Eddie Gill guarding Billups most of the time. The pistons bench is not that good. They have Antonio McDyess who is a scorer, but if we have Jermaine or James Jones on him, he should be quiet. Carlos Arroyo is definately the hidden gem of the Pistons team. He is a quality backup point guard (sort of like anthony johnson should be, but Tinsley is injured). I expect the pistons to win in six games, possibly seven. Somehow i get the feeling even with all the injuries the pacers bench is deeper, and i think that will play a major part of them pulling off a couple of wins.
Yes, urmom, the spurs are definately going to be Title Contenders, however Rasho Nesterovic is NOT a good defender, look for Shaq to dominate. If these teams do meet in the Finals, as i projected, The guard matchup is TERRIFIC. Damon Jones who was 2nd this years in 3 point baskets will be up against the most underrated player in the entire NBA, Manu Ginobili. And the best matchup will be Dwayne Wade against Tony Parker. Both of these guys are dangerous when the get inside, however Wade is capable of 30 points a game in this series. Wade is a slicer, and Parker is a jump shooter. Can't forget about Duncan for the spurs, but with the new addition of Alonzo Mourning, i don't think Duncan will be that big of a factor. Look for Brent Barry and Bino Udrih to have good games off the bench for the Spurs, however with shaq down low and Wade and Damon and Eddie Jones, i just think that the spurs don't have enough to take em. Heat in 6 or 7 games, it'll be a great series if they meet in the Finals.

Sorry for the double post but, Paul Pierce has 3 appearances (no starts) in 8 seasons. Reggie Miller by his eighth season already had 4 all star appearances and 2 starts. Pierce has never in his career ever gotten an MVP vote. Miller has had 26 MVP votes in his career, but he hasn't won the MVP.
By the way, in game 2, did anyone see Miller fake the living shit out of pierce, made him fall on his face, and drain the 3. Man, i loved that.
Key Factor: Pacers had 9 blocks in game 3, and they are averaging 7 for the series through three games. The celtics inside game is about as rare as an Atlanta Hawks victory...
