Ok so many of you know playoffs have started for Basketball. What I want to know is who you guys like/ think will win/ think has the best chance. As for me I will stay true to my favorite team, the Indiana Pacers. With Jackson, O'Neal, and Miller we can't lose! At least I hope. I predict they will take it all the way. Thoughts?!

YOU FAGGOT, PACERS RULE, THEY GONNA WIN IT ALL, REGGIE MILLER IS THE GREATEST PLAYER IN NBA HISTORY... pacers leading series 2-1, and they're the underdog, walkers out for game 4, pacers'll go up 3-1, then it's gg

I went to game 3, man, it was great... Reggie puts up 33... pacers win by 23... i hate the celtics, ricky davis is a ballhog... antwaan walker is suspended.... paul pierce is overrated... raef lefrentz has no inside game for a 7 footer, marc blount cant play defense...

Pacers on other hand... just think if we had Ron Artest, Jamaal Tinsley, and Johnathan Bender, we'd be the most dangerous team in the playoffs, we're still dangerous, with reggie, at 39, still has 5 years left, J.O., one of the best players in the NBA, Steven Jackson can easily put up 30 a night

Anywayz... i hate boston, doc rivers sucks too, go pacers

Nets will come back and own the Heat and win it all.

I must say I do admire Kidd a ton. If Pacers were to somehow lose I would root for Nets. Reggie is retiring this year buddy....so no 5-year plan. Last year was a fluke, we deserved the championship, Richard Hamilton messed us up by cheating!!! bye2.gif I say the best chance is Artest, O'Neal, Miller, Harrington(that guy rocks but we traded him!!! disgust.gif ) and Jackson. With those 5 as starters we would own. Nets can come back!!! Never give up. If they win we will have to beat the tar out of them later in semi's but oh well tongue.gif. You can't say Reggie is greatest ever, he is my favorite, but not the best. Now at three's and screens...he has no better. Walker is out because the....weak...person...(escaped some bad words...) couldn't take losing and had to get flagrant fouls on the same person. Pierce is a good player, I must admit, but he is too much of a rookie to compete with out veterans. The entire Pacer team out age's the Celtics by 23 years of experience!!! Reggie=18 O'Neal=8 Davis=10 and Croshere=6 With just those alone we can own Celtics tongue.gif Any thoughts on the Mav's? Are they done...?

P.S. n20 what the heck is a vrybaby? biggrin.gif tongue.gif

With a 3-0 lead in the series, its looking bad for the Nets, better luck next year for the with jefferson, carter, and kidd (watch out for krstic too)

I went to game 3 in the pacers/celtics series, and it was a blast, after seeing that, i have to think that pacers will win in 6 games

I hate detroit, i loved seeing them lose game 3 verse the 76'ers, i can't believe im rooting for allen iverson and chris webber (detroit leads series 2-1)

The matchup in the east no one is talking about could turn interesting, the bulls/wizards. with luol deng and eddy curry out, the wizards could easily come back and win that series, especially if gilbert arenas keeps playing the way he is

In the west, it looks as if phoenix is going to sweep the grizzlies, they lead the series 3-0

The most interesting matchup is (2)San Antonio vs. (7)Denver Nuggets. the series is tied 1-1, and the next two are in denver. san antonio better watch out, if duncan doesn't play 25+ minutes, they could be lookign to get upset.

in the 6seed vs the 3seed in the west we got (3)Seattle vs (6)Sacremento. I think seattle will win the series because they play great at home, and jerome james is dominating inside and you cant forget about ray allen and rashard lewis (by the way... did anyone see Vladimir Radmonivich's hair) Seattle leads the series 2-1

And finally, chaos has broken out in the (4)mavericks vs (5)Rockets series. The road team has won every game so far, and as for your question, i do think that the mavericks can win that series, they just need to stop tracy mcgrady the key player for the mavericks in this series: Eric Dampier, hes a great defender, if he stops Yao Ming, the mavericks prevail. Rockets lead the series 2-1

My Predictions:
First Round: (1)Heat over (8)Nets
(2)Pistons over (7)76'ers
(6)Pacers over (3)Celtics
(5)Wizards over (4)Bulls
(1)Suns over (8)Grizzlies
(2)Spurs over (7)Nuggets
(3)Supersonics over (6)Kings
(4)Mavericks over (5)Rockets

Second Round: (1)Heat over (5)Wizards in 5 games
(2)Pistons over (6)Pacers in 7 games
(1)Suns over (4)Mavericks in 6 games
(2)Spurs over (3)Seattle in 4 games

Conference Finals: (1)Heat over (2)Pistons in 6 games
(2)Spurs over (1)Suns in 6 games

NBA Finals: (1)Heat over (2)Spurs in 7 games
NBA Finals MVP: Shaquille O'neal
NBA Regular Season MVP: Shaquille O'neal
Coach of the Year: Rick Carlisle
Defensive Player of the Year: Allen Iverson
6th Man of the Year: Ben Gordon
Rookie of the Year: Emeka Okeafor

Come on now, you can't seriously believe Reggie doesn't deserve it. Perhaps your thoughts are altered by your hatred of the Pacers whooping the Celtics year after year tongue.gif Today is game 4. I can't wait!!! I hope we do good and win. Even if I don't like players I still acknowledge there talent. For instance Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce. Hate them to death, but they have game, I won't argue that. Anyways,...GO PACERS!!! biggrin.gif

spurs will win the championship. the spurs will verse the suns and will crush the suns and go to the finals. the heat willbeat the pistons and go to the finals. final result= Spurs>Heat in 7 games.

i take offence to what you said about the celtics tongue.gif so ill make fun of the pacers

the pacers have good talent but have bad sportsmanship and teamwork. it seems like they start tons of brawls. they are always in the middle of fights and mouth off to anyone. they will get their ass kicked because some teams like the heat and pistons will isolate their team weaknesses and force their star players to have a bad game. their entire offence is pass the ball to o'neal. if he cant post up then kick it out to miller who will launch up a 3. or miller will pass it to jackson who will launch up a shot. i think they will beat the celts because we wont have walker for game 4 and well be down 3-1 but when they verse the heat or pistons where o'neal wont be able to post up and the perimiter will be guarded, then they are screwed.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by wesmic da pimp on 2005-04-30 at 15:40:03
Listen, i predicted the pacers to lose to the pistons, but it will still be a great series.

The pacers have good matchups against the pistons, Jackson at 6'8'' will be able to guard Tayshaun Prince. Reggie Miller and Richard Hamilton are damn near identical except for the fact reggie can hit the 3 and hamilton isn't that good from beyond the arc, so we have the advantage there. O'neal is an underrated defender, he was 4th in blocks last year, i think he can keep Rasheed quiet. Ben wallace and Dale davis... thats a great matchup, neither of them are offensive stars, and they're both muscular as all hell, pay attention to the rebound statistics. The main problem the pacers have is at point guard. Anthony Johnson is definately not near as good as Chauncey Billups. Don't be surprised to see Fred Jones and Eddie Gill guarding Billups most of the time. The pistons bench is not that good. They have Antonio McDyess who is a scorer, but if we have Jermaine or James Jones on him, he should be quiet. Carlos Arroyo is definately the hidden gem of the Pistons team. He is a quality backup point guard (sort of like anthony johnson should be, but Tinsley is injured). I expect the pistons to win in six games, possibly seven. Somehow i get the feeling even with all the injuries the pacers bench is deeper, and i think that will play a major part of them pulling off a couple of wins.

Yes, urmom, the spurs are definately going to be Title Contenders, however Rasho Nesterovic is NOT a good defender, look for Shaq to dominate. If these teams do meet in the Finals, as i projected, The guard matchup is TERRIFIC. Damon Jones who was 2nd this years in 3 point baskets will be up against the most underrated player in the entire NBA, Manu Ginobili. And the best matchup will be Dwayne Wade against Tony Parker. Both of these guys are dangerous when the get inside, however Wade is capable of 30 points a game in this series. Wade is a slicer, and Parker is a jump shooter. Can't forget about Duncan for the spurs, but with the new addition of Alonzo Mourning, i don't think Duncan will be that big of a factor. Look for Brent Barry and Bino Udrih to have good games off the bench for the Spurs, however with shaq down low and Wade and Damon and Eddie Jones, i just think that the spurs don't have enough to take em. Heat in 6 or 7 games, it'll be a great series if they meet in the Finals.

Sorry for the double post but, Paul Pierce has 3 appearances (no starts) in 8 seasons. Reggie Miller by his eighth season already had 4 all star appearances and 2 starts. Pierce has never in his career ever gotten an MVP vote. Miller has had 26 MVP votes in his career, but he hasn't won the MVP.

By the way, in game 2, did anyone see Miller fake the living shit out of pierce, made him fall on his face, and drain the 3. Man, i loved that.

Key Factor: Pacers had 9 blocks in game 3, and they are averaging 7 for the series through three games. The celtics inside game is about as rare as an Atlanta Hawks victory...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by indecisiveman on 2005-04-30 at 19:22:48
Wesmic I think you need to refresh yourself on facts of the game. Reggie is 19th all-time scorer in playoffs. If Pacers and Pistons win we won't face them until the semi's(recall last year...). We will play the winner of Nets and Heat. Jackson won't guard Prince, Jackson will most likely be put on Rasheed Wallace. O'Neal will be put on Ben Wallace. Reggie on Hamilton. Ok he has been in WAY more than 5 all-stars. He is first all-time in free-throws with 89%.

urmom: They have never started a single brawl. Look back on Pistons last year, Wallace started that one. Walker started the one the other night because he can't take a loss. Ok so Miller started the one with Jordan a few years ago but oh well. You mentioned 3 of the 11-13 players they have. Croshere can still hit three's or drive to the hoop. Anthony is a veteran, he makes baskets when needed. Davis is kind of a dork but is good to penetrate and crash the boards. Not to mention Foster, Gill, or even Fred Jones, who is an up-and-coming all-star.

Hawks? Going a little old-school are we? ermm.gif

Indecisive: by 11th in all time points, i meant regular season points for reggie miller, hes 11th. and if we play the pistons, and O'neal is on Wallace and Jackson is on 'Sheed and Miller is on Hamilton, then that means that Dale Davis will be on Tayshaun to start the game, and that aint gonna happen. My bad, Miller's has been voted to six all-star games and was a reserve in '97, nevertheless, hes a hall of famer, and he was chosen to the All-90's team. I've been a huge pacer fan all my life, and only once have i ever seen someone on the pacers i've hated more than anthony johnson, and that OF COURSE is Travis Best. Croshere can drive inside and hit the 3 ball, but he's not all that great and has cold streaks. and aren't u forgetting about james jones, johnathan bender (injured), and Pollard, who are also great role players, and Miller is 3rd all time in free throw percentage. Peja is number one, and i THINK Larry Bird is second.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by indecisiveman on 2005-05-01 at 00:33:21
Davis won't start against Pistons. Best rocks!!! Croshere hasn't missed a single shot in this series against Celtics(I won't mention that he only shot two... tongue.gif). Umm Bender isn't even on the team anymore...Pollard sucks the most of all our players. The goof can't catch a pass! He sucks at shooting. Perhaps his only role for the Pacers is to draw fouls!!! Even then he sucks!!! Peja got a 79% this year in FT's. Unless somehow a few years ago he got 95-96 he isn't first place. Bird MAY be second, though I highly doubt it.

Earlier I said we wouldn't play Pistons but I was wrong. We play winner of Pistons and Sixers. Nets will lose in 5 games...Pacers will win at Boston and come home and win. We MUST take the championship for Miller!!!!!
Report, edit, etc...Posted by wesmic da pimp on 2005-05-01 at 00:47:13
Bender is on the team, hes just injured as all hell, its sad because he has so much talent. Pollard isn't the worst player on the team, John Edwards is. (don't forget, last year our worst player was Primoz Brezec, and he was terrific for the charlotte bobcats this year) Peja was #1 all time in FT's before this year, dunno about currently, i thought u were wrong about us playing the heat/nets winner, considering 6/3 plays the 7/2, I will literally have anal sex with a goat if reggie and the pacers were guarenteed a NBA Title this year, go pacers!

By the way, i think Dale Davis vs. Ben Wallace is an interesting matchup... two big bulky, nasty, mean, afraid-of-nothing black guys

without antwaan walker, so what? we're playing with a whole lot less, were playing without Jamaal Tinsley, Ron Artest, Johnathan Bender, David Harrison, and a slightly injured Jermaine O'neal. Last year when we played boston in the playoffs (and swept em 4-0), Ron Artest was guarding Paul Pierce and held him to 11.6 PPG in that series and Ron won Defensive Player of the Year, so don't tell me that we had the advantage dipshit
Report, edit, etc...Posted by -BW-Map_God on 2005-05-01 at 14:02:19
Spurs all the way provided they keep getting healthier and avoid any more ankle injuries. Hopefully Duncan can use the 1st round to get his game back to near what it usually is. I think Miami will make it out of the East to the finals provided Shaq stays healthy. If he's not then probably the Pistons make it out of the East. In the west there are 4-5 good title contenders so depending on injuries it could get interesting..

Oh yea, Reggie definetly deserves Hall of Fame, though Knick and Celtic fans might disagree as his teams always seem to ruin their seasons biggrin.gif .
