MindArchon has created a program to view the triggers of map, regardless of protection. This means you can view how certain things are triggered on a map for your own learning purposes. There is no saving or modifying of the map within this program, so we support it all the way!
Download Now!A random map maker will ask:
OMG YOSHI! HOW COULD YOU BETRAY THE COMMUNITY AND ALLOW SUCH A STEALING PROGRAM ON YOUR SITE!!1oneo1!!!???The fact is. This program is benifical to everyone. Mindarchon didn't add the save option in respect for the map makers (or else we would not be hosting it).
Additionally, some people who ask for unprotectors sometimes state for the reason of "Learning how the map works". Now they have even less of an excuse to do so, with this new program.
If you still claim that viewing how you made a map could be considered as stealing, I say, if there are people out there who really want to try to learn that way, let them try then. Map unprotecting is only unwanted because some people end up abusing it and throwing their name on the map, or rigging the map to make it what they want, apposed to the map makers orginal intentions (if people want rigged maps, go make your own

)
Besides, if you really want orginal credits for making up a concept, if you checked out the
Basic Help topic, you'll notice I listed
the most flawless protection ever which no such map stealers can ever break (in theory of course), is quoted as:
QUOTE
The best protection that never fails, is submit your map to several sites that host maps, such as ourselves, starcraft.org and so on. This way, you can at least insure that the websites have the unrigged versions with your name on your own creation. If people ever search for your map, this will be what they download. If you want to be known for your map making skills, map making communities is the best place to go. Normal Battle.net users don't care about peoples accomplishments as much as other map makers.
So please, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. I personally ban map makers who open maps to steal them and try to submit them to this website. I'm sure other sites will show you the same respect if you ask their webmasters nicely.
UPDATE: There has been heated discussion, some disagreement, and even some debating. So far, by the looks of most of the community sites and replies I've been reading, about 95% of the starcraft community is in favour of a trigger viewer which has absolutely no save ability. The other 5% are either indifferent or think its not a good idea. Please post in the comments, and give us feedback what you think about this. It may influence the decision of having further versions, possibily more advanced to display other things, hosted on Staredit Network in the future. Heres my main points that support the program, which can be found
here.
