Hey, its urmom and I just bought a new computer. I have the wireless internet setup and everything. When I was fooling around with the network settings I came accross something that said I could share the files on my old computer with my new one. I've tried everything but i can't get it to work. Please help me I want to listen to my music real bad!
You have to hook the other computer up and they both have to have a unique name. Then in My Network Settings add network and type its name. If it finds it it will create it. Do this with both computers. (You may have to set up network first). I cant really help much... (I had to do it with this comp)
well i just tried what you said. didnt work... i went into my network places and created a new connection thing. let me try something else...
Isnt this why they invented flopy discs?
why would i need a floppy disk?
conpress your musics to floppy disk and diconpress it

; put it in your new computer is what Puni is trying to say, i think
Floppy Discs and CDR and CDRW discs can transport files one to another.
the music files is about a gb so floppy's wont cut it. besides, i need to share a bunch of word documents and other crap.
thanks for the suggestion though

Try finding the help thingy.
For me its in Start Menu...
I did this a while ago. I was just playing around with the setting until I got it to hook up properly. What I think I did was right click on the folder that I wanted to share and I clicked on "Sharing and security".
hey i finally got it working! a guy at my dad's work came over and fixed it. he used to work for the Geek Squad.
