Okay, so I'm sitting in my last class of the day, Advance Algebra Honors, when I get to thinking, why is it that I can fall to sleep faster on a hard floor than on a nice bed? Well, I went up to a girl named Leszly and asked her the question, does she sleep better on hard floors than on a bed. Surprisingly her answer was Hard Floors. She then gave me 2 examples, the first one was when she was crawling under her bed (DUSTY!!!) and the next thing she knew she was asleep! Well, the second one was on a band bus, with three people to a seat, she fell asleep! I'm just wondering, does anyone else fall asleep faster on hard things than on soft things? Yes, you can take a pillow with you if you want! (I asked a teacher and she responded if she had a pillow, she would fall asleep faster! Thanks Mrs. J!)
Hmm... you might find me sleeping on the kitchen floor tonight then.

Thats really weird... but has truth, to a degree. You dont feel as well rested when on the bed

See, I'm a good scientist. I ask questions and I find out the truth. That is what this whole forum is about! I mean, Why else would I tell the truth! Please keep sending in responses, and remember, I am cute and fuzzy, because I am a PENGUIN!!!! TAKE THAT FIREKAME!!! PENGUINS RULE!!!
It is weird but it has the same effect on me. I like to fall asleep under my bed rather than on it.
Yea, if I could get under mine, you might find me there... Well, Unless my EVIL cat was under. she attacks all, so beware her if you ever come over! (Or if she escapes). Going on that note, their is a fox in our neiborhood, saw it this morning (They eat cats!)
My bed is too small for me to fit under it too but if I could fit that would be my new favorite place to sleep even more than in math class. xD
You can sleep anywhere if you're tired enough. Hard floors look very comfortable late at night.

yea, but it is easyier just to go and sleep on a hard floor than it is to sleep in a bed, that is why so many people sleep in math classes, because the desks are hard! well, unless they can turn into pillows, they are hard!

See what I mean from this elegant and simply marvolouis quote! If I spell something wrong, it is okay, I can't spell....
I figure maybe because to fall asleep you have to be really tired to fall asleep on somthing hard..although yes ive fallen asleep on the floor before my gf got pissed cuz she was lecturing me

anyway as i was saying when your asleep on a hard floor blood from where the part of your body is touching the floor is slowed in that area due to hardyness of the floor. and therefore when you wake up the blood rushes back and you feel like u had a good sleep<<did it for the 5 ore
Hmm, I seem to be an oddball. I sleep better on something nice and soft, like a bed or a couch. I can still sleep on a hard floor, but, I guess not as well. Of course, I can't really tell these days since I fall asleep anywhere within 15 minutes if I have the chance. Gah, must get more sleep!
Ill fall asleeep anywhere no matter what/Where it is, Lol.
Ill all alseep in school
Ill fall alseep on the bus
Ill fall alseep in my bed.
I dout i could fall alseep under my bed
A. its a little to small
B. I got a bright blue light under it.
I always fall off my bed, never waking up. I do fine on the floor
I agree with it to a degree... i fell asleep a lot faster and easier on the floor of my bathroom then in my bed one day when i had the flu...
But i also think anything look comfortable... especailly the floor... especially when your drunk...

maybe humans didnt have any beds to sleep on a loong looong time ago so deep inside we are used to ahrd floors
I don't understand you guys. I can hardly fall alsleep, even in my bed. Don't even think about it with hard things.
The only times I actually fell alsleep NOT in a bed, was in the car when it was 3am, after the new-year party...
Can't sleep in class, teacher will ####ing stop teaching and wait for you to wake up then you've been humuliated... That was before, though. I don't fall alsleep in college cuz it's bad manners

You know, I just find it easyier. And I don't think that blood rush thing is correct also, because we would feel it in a different way and probably get stupider...well, I know I'm as dumb as I ever have been... I personally am going with this!

That sounds like the most reasonable explanation! But, did they have hard floors back then, or was it just the ground or trees they slept in. That is all I can ask!
well didnt they sleep in caves? and the floors in caves are i belive very hard.

Thats prob a good guess.

'caves have hard floors'

The only problem is that if we lived in caves, then the BEARS would get us! Trees are the safest place, well, next to a modern day gun... Maybe they didn't live in trees, but in grass where leopards could attack them! I mean, we have found bones with human remains at a leopards home... (Prehistoric)
I'd say that a cave would be good cuddled up to a nice warm fire. The fire would keep you warm and it would keep the bears away.
Yea, but fire creates smoke, and then while your sleeping, you burn yourself to hell! Also, if the cave gets cold, then you would have to "shut the door" with a rock, then you die by smoke! Oh, and by the way, by you I mean Caveman! Well, maybe your a caveman and you wont tell us...
I dont think cavemen had computers, and that is to bad because then they cant come here

They would have some real input...

Oh yes and from people sleeping on hard floors at home to the life of a caveman.
