re-record the wavs in sound recorder to 16-bit 8000khz mono, thats the best compression for starcraft I believe

Don't re-record them, you can just convert them to more compressed lower quality sounds.

More like best distortion. Try 22050kHz 16-bit mono. I know Starforge will uncompress your sounds, so you might want WinMPQ and to import them that way so you're sure that they become fully compressed in the MPQ(scm/scx).

You mean WinMPQ?

If you are needing a certain dll file, google for it and download it and place it in your Windows System Directory.

If you aren't using WinMPQ, get it here:

It could be them using different sounds and then having them repeat at certain times though >.> that's what i've done for an extremely big music file, i took it apart, and put in key parts of it, and had each one repeat at different times.

Go to your start menu then go to Program Files>Accessories>entertainment>sound recorder. then open up the .wav file in the sound recorder. then go to File>Properties and press the button that says Convert now. then under where it says Name put it on Telephone Quality. Next to that there is a save as button press that type the output name then press ok then ok then file save
