#1- fire effect in trees. How do i do it? i know what the tutorials say but what i want is a building cloaked so its effectively "invisible" to the player. then it bursts into flame. how is this possible?
DONE!
#2- keys. ive seen maps where it says click 6 to go to a certain loaction, and a Rush! screenshot th name of the defiler was "Gun Slinger (press w to fire)" how is this possible?

I only know one thing in your question, because I don't know much about map making. In that Rush map, w on a defiler makes a dark swarm. I don't think you can assign certain keys to do certain actions.

#1 Ok for the fire tree effect I dont think that you could do that one, with you still wanting the bunker to be invisible. But if you just wanted it like this with what you said

You could just Disable Doodad State for the player who owns the bunker so it cloaks, then whenver you want to bunker to burst into flames just set the Hp amount to like 55% so the bunker will not die when on fire.

#2 Well the one with the defiler shooting is simple. It's where you would have the defiler selected and then it said press 'w' when you have the defiler selected and then left click on a target and it would shoot. This is because of the 'w' is a hotkey for Dark S'w'arm and then the person who made the map has a trigger for p12 because p12 owns Dark Swarm, then once they bring a Dark Swarm to that location they have a trigger set up to remove the dark swarm and then make all the effects such as the sound and explosion stuff for the bullets.

Hope this helped. biggrin.gif

Are you sure it was press 6? In some interactive systems (Usually with NPCs on RPGs) you have a building (Gateway, for example) and if you press Z, for Zealot, you select the first option. D for Dragoon, select the second option, and so on.

you sure it's not the "F4" button?
because if you press that, you go to your start location.
