Use SCXE and use the symbols as described in the tutorial IN THAT ORDER. It isn't perfect everytime. Find which category you are lapping and read the ENTIRE description. This will tell you how to lap it better. Not everything is perfectly lapped with that tutorial. It is always guess and check.

The SCXE method (and rexy's) is actually pretty crappy. You shouldn't ever put an alignment mark before the first block of text.

That said, the overlap back mark is really center alignment, and the overlap front mark is right alignment.

Starforge's string viewer will show a string correctly if you have no more than one alignment mark in it. Any more than that and it won't preview it accurately. So here's how you do it:

color marktextright-align markcolor marktextinvisible color marklots of spaces

So do that, and then keep hitting space until the words are pretty close. When you can't get it any closer, use commas and periods. A space is 4 pixels, a comma is 3, and a period is 2. With the right combination you can make it pixel-perfect, and you can see it in Starforge as you're editing it.

(Edited to switch alignment marks - woops)

If you have a better method, then submit it.

Thats only units, and I think leaderboard.
The other areas with small font (Objectives and Forces) you just do +1.

hey!
isn't the overlap back mark CENTER and the overlap front mark aligning the text to the right? because, that is how I see it when I use it in display text or others..

Yes, I believe that is correct.
But most people instead take advantage of the fact that they allow text to be written on top of itself - hence, the large number of questions about "overlapping".
