Staredit Network -> Miscellaneous -> Invision 2.0

As you all know, I'm running a heavily modified and pumped up version of Invision Board 1.3. I keep up to date for any improvements I can make for the site.

Unlike the last 4 layout changes (lol sorry), I now find myself satisfied with the state of the site. Its visually appealing, easy to use and loaded with features.

You're all asking right now, "WHENS YOSHI GOING TO CHANGE EVERYTHING AGAIN???"

Not this time. Theres nothing left to do but improve what is already done.

The next major change I can see in the future is Invision Board 2.0. Loaded with even more features than ever!

See it here!

But when will I install it in?

Not for a long time. Even when 2.0 is released, I by no means plan on switching to it because I wont have a website. All the mods you see here will be incompatible, and I'll wish to see them come out again.

So when will the site go to invision 2.0? Wait for next year.

Besides, I can move everything over just like last time. As I promised from the beginning, you'll never lose your member account or posts.

This isn't to *warn* you of another major site change. I'm done with that.

I just wanted to show you all invision 2.0 smile.gif

It doesn't look too much different... Other than graphically anyways...

Anyways, I think this site has character. Anybody can go out and dl the newest forum software, but it takes more than just time to completely mod (and re-write half of) your forums. I respect you for that.

I have a friend who completely wrote his own site, including forums, blogs, chat, music stream, etc. (Pingring) But it don't work so well, aside from the fact that its got 4 regular members, all being close friends who go to the same school...

Its ASP. I wish I could say something good about the site, but the fact its ASP goes against everything I believe in with programming. Tell him to try another language.

He should be happy that no one comes. ASP is so insecure its not funny.

He said ASP was the first language he learned (or taught himself, for that matter). It seems to work fairly well, but sometimes crashes etc...

It sounds like the only language hes ever learned. Once you've done PHP, you know theres no turning back.

He knows a few others. He might even know PHP (I'm not sure), but writes most of his own stuff in ASP. I don't really know any of them, so I write in pseudo-l33t-sounding stuff... laugh.gif
