im posting this thread so peeps can tell every 1 what type of maps they make and favor im a ums and melee guy

Ok the maps that I favor the most is Rpg maps. I find them fun all of the time, and they are the best types of maps ever.

(My opinion)
Maps i favor:
Mini-game styles, fast paced, action games, anything worth playing over and over again.
Maps i make:
Sports, as-original-as-it-can-be-but-simple maps, party games, high intensity games, games that make you laugh, etc.
the maps i favor are melee maps with a twist, and group games like team micro arena, games that you can co-operate with on
I make melee and campaigns

I Like:
-RPGs
-Plot-driven non-RPGs
-Funny stuff XD
-Action stuff
-UNIQUE D maps
-RPs (Lol, nobody ever mentions these...)
I Make:
-RPGs
-That plot-driven thingy
-Funny Stuff
-(half-unique) Defense
-Plain wierd stuff that'l never get to the public -_-
-RPs
-Action Stuff
EDIT: Oh, and all I've ever finished was this one lame map.
-------I hate how lazy I am.---
I like those Team Micro Arena maps, Art of Defence maps, Bounds, Defences, Test of Survival Maps, mostly korean maps but still, any map that involves stradegy is fun for me

I like maps that have lots of action. So quick games, some rpgs, defences, and a very few bounds. And anything that's original.
For rpg's though I have higher standards, they not only have to have pretty good action areas, they need a decent storyline, but more importantly they need to have lots more to do than simply follow one pathway killing enemies. Plot twists and side quests to liven gameplay up.
Usually I favor creative and original player vs. player maps. In my opinion it's very hard to make a great and extremely fun players vs. computer maps (Bounds, defenses, RPGs).
Usually I make original player vs player maps and if I have a very creative idea for a defense or something I create it.
Weird maps. You can see that from my Protect the Reaver how my mind is screwed.
I like RPGs that don't get way too repetitive (kill, upgrade, heal, repeat), as well as strategy-oriented ones like Team Micro Arena and Snow Ball Warz.
I don't make a lot of maps, but when I do, they're mostly RPGs. I also made attempts in porting other games like AOE2 and CnC: Generals.
I personally love making RPGs because they are exciting and fun to make. You can get so creative with them because you can create your own world and apply it to Starcraft.
P.S. Wrong forum
maps i favor:
RPGS, and movies
I like to make Rpgs and mvoies also because they are fun.
Well just a little heads up, it doesn't mater what the genre, its all about one important factor that everyone forgets to add in:
Fun Factor.
If its fun, of course we are going to play it. Enough said.
I love all the good/fun stuff

. Probably my favorite is what I call the Simulation styl which includes WW1/WW2/Diplo/Civilization sort of maps. (Yea my Fall of Rome fits in here too

)
like
-rpg
-defense
-minigames
-trailers
make
-rpg
-minigames
(-trailers)
Personally, I turn away from any Defense or Diplomacy maps. I prefer RPGs and those mini-games, such as Worms.

For me it's not just fun factor.
I also see its replayability factor

Geeze.. well I like maps where the fun/uniqeness/detail/desgin/replayability factors are good!
I like to make rpg, movies, defences, diplo, Squad based or a mix of them!
Games with Lots of replay value such as Builders and Fighters,TMA,Diplomacys etc
You know, they should update the map reviews, I loved that section of the forums, but then it got... unused. I'd love it if ppl go there more often and have like a random map review if nobody's submitting their map to the reviews...

Well that's cuz we're not getting any requests.
How about this, tell me (or the other DLDB dudes) which maps you want me to review and i'll just go ahead and write a review about them.
Yea all this idleness made me kinda miss writing reviews

Omg i favor Chess that map is sooo awsome by.. golden humm i forget but it was awsome nect level triggers
Yea i was looking at those triggers... and it literally blew my brain up. Like some of the triggers have like 6 switches for the conditions and 9 switches for the actions

i know, i can't immagine how long it took and its just amazing! lol

Hold on, UNIQUE Ds? Heh, heh... I've got one right here.
Its not 100% done but its playeable.
All that's missing is a few (about 30 to 40

) levels and to balance them out.
I know, I know... The word "ReVampEd", I took from Red2Blue's bound (I can't remember which)
