What is the path that I specify the starcraft directory when I opened SC extra editor.. maybe it sounds a bit newbish... but i cant figure it out and I tried to search the topic as well.

I think this question belongs in the StarEdit Forum.
Your StarCraft directory is simply where you installed StarCraft, probably C:\Program Files\Starcraft\.

If its not in the StarCraft directory, then in the Extra Editer Launch Wizard you can go to File->Options and click "Change Directory" then find where you put it.

Actually i did try to use the path of sc, but somehow the version i dled from a website called "SCAG" isnt work, so then I dl from here, and now is work.

EDIT: Anyone suggest which mode is better to be installed?

Each mode is a different X-tra editor. They all have their own features. I suggest you install all of them because they're all useful at times when making a map.
