Don't do anything to repair, and make upgrades cost gas only (The same way you had it do minerals only?).

If you only have minerals, it will use them.
But if you also have gas it uses them too.
Not sure how it decides when it uses minerals of both. (Sometimes you go to repair and it says not enough gas)
Make a trigger to heal certain units but make it so it costs some gas.

Repair buildings? Set the buildings you want to be repairable to have a cost of no minerals and and some gas. Gas cost depends on how much you want spent to repair it.

Making Gas repair- Just go to unit and hero settings and make the guys cost no mins, and some gas.

The quantity and types of resources used to repair a single unit depends on its cost. So when you make a command center cost 100 gas, and 0 minerals, it will repair taking about one gas a second or so. If you made it cost 10000 gas, it would take like 100 gas a second or so to repair.

Repair is based on the cost of the unit. If it costs only gas, it takes gas. If it costs only minerals, it takes minerals. If it costs both, it uses both.

To change the cost for upgrades in StarEdit, go to
-- Scenario -> Upgrade Settings...
To change the cost of special abilities' research in Staredit, go to
-- Scenario -> Special Ability Settings...
To change the cost of repairing units in Staredit, you need to change the cost of the units themselves. Go to
-- Scenario -> Unit and Hero Settings...

The cost and time to repair a unit is proportional to (and less than) the cost and time to build that unit.

Repairing cost uses a fraction of the build cost and repairing time uses a fraction of the build time.

If you want repairing to be free but still to take time (which is what I gather that you want from how you've proposed to make your repairing system), make units cost no minerals and no gas, but still have time to build. I believe that's how it's done in the "Defend the castle" map.

If you want repairing to cost gas, then you should make the cost a reasonable amount of gas (and a reasonable amount of time), and you shouldn't give players 99999 gas, because that would essentially make repairing free.

Don't forget the Time issue. My guess that an SCV repairs a unit as fast as the unit builds, but takes half the resources needed to repair.

I'll go check the repair time in the relation to unit cost and time. Be back in a moment.

Found something. A full repair of ANY mechanical unit (1hp/fullhp) takes 40% of minerals and/or gas used to make the unit. Hope that helps.

The problem is solved.
, just on the time thing, it doesn't take the time to build a command center to repair a command center.
