ok I need to instale a diffrent copy of starcraft on my e: drive instead of my c: drive.
I alreay have one on my C: drive.
Any one now how?
The reason for this is because I wanna Play around with starcraft files to see if i can change any thing. Or make an addition to the game just for the fun of it.
Maybe I can do something and I bought a book today called
c++ for dummies

Okay, I'm obviously guessing you got a partitioned/slave harddrive. All I can suggest for accomplishing that, would be uninstalling off of your C: drive and reinstalling directly on your E: Drive... that's one theory... or, I can suggest taking the entire disk onto your E: Drive, and try running the Setup file from there. These are only suggestions and I've no real evidence that this will totally work, seeing as how I've never seen the need to do this.
- partitioned/slave harddrive
Seems like a lot of trouble to redirect a master drive to a slave drive doesn't it lol
But I will give it a shot. I hope their are better ways to do this
Btw I love your little advatars of final fantasy could you tell me how to make one
?¿?
Do you mean you want to install Starcraft on another drive?
yeah i want to instal starcraft on another drive
Do you have another drive?
Wait, if your just messing with Starcraft, you can install it into another folder.
ok how would i do that forty? into another folder.
Go into the Starcraft folder and rename "Starcraft.exe" to "Starceafta.exe" or something (just so it isn't "starcraft.exe") Now when you put the CD in it will ask if you want to install it. Then just keep continuing and then instead of installing to the default, you can change it. I do not know if it works, but it lets you install again.
An easyer way would just to copy all the files to a new directory.
Rename the starcraft directory on C:. Now pop in the disc and it thinks its not installed.
