i make bounds.... alot of pepole like them... i know how to do alot of things. but i see some times it looks like a ghost firing at nothing... and a marine.... its wierd...
Are you asking help on how to do this making a ghost, marine fire at nothing? I think im sure that there is a "Tutorial" somewhere in the Tutorial area.
If not i supose this will be classed as garbage
The effect is caused by using the action "Set Doodad State" and disableing the ghost or marine.
If disableing multiple units of the same type you will need a locaiton for each. Also note many units will crash starcraft when disabled.
what do you mean? use the set doodle state? like for doors? ok so its should look like this..
condition
Always
action
set doodle state:
disable marine at location fire
right?
Read the tutorials before you post. Thanks.
i did.before i post. i did before i came on the forums. it says nothing
Ehem...

Yes that's it.
And you should always try things out/expariment with things. Then when you find a glitch, tell me.

heh.
no.. not like that... i mean the unit. like you can see the marine...and he is firing at nothing...
Edit:like our icons
There's probably a burrowed unit, cloaked unit, or spider mine that you can't see that he's firing at. If it's not that or disabled doodad state, post up the map and I'll look into it.
Dude... it's either one of the two. The players don't see it cloak if there's no detector, so it will APPEAR uncloaked and fire at nothing.
And you couldn't even TRY it anyway?
Let me tell you a story(well fact that we saw in science class);
We were doing some exparimental crap in science. We had to predict what would happen, while our science teacher showed us what really happened. He took an empty beer bottle, filled it full of water, then took an empty test tube and slid it in the beer bottle. We had to predict what would happen when he turned it upside down. Most people thought the test tube would fall out and break. So he turned it upside down, and to their surprise, the test tube was moving UP and not falling out like many had predicted.
What does this relate to you and mapping? Some things happen and you don't expect it to happen. You think it will do something else, but it doesn't.
the disable thing works. thanks
THAT is what I wanted to hear.
