I have edited this map so many times that it looks nothing like the first version. Each main has 9 mins and a mineral only expo with 6 mineral patches. The middle also has 4 gas expos, but since Zerg players would need more than just 12 geysers, it would be best to add more gas. I thought about adding the cliff gas expos, but Zerg wouldn't be able to get those easily, and Terran could probably place some tanks from below and siege away with ease. Comments are welcome, and I'd like some ideas on how to add more gas to the map.

I like it the way it is. Don't worry too much about the zerg. Why? Look at following scenarios:
1on1: More than enough expos with gas, one could argue it's even very difficult to prevent zerg from going mad with gas expands all over the map.
2on2: 2on2 is more rush than 1on1, there are still enough free mainbases left, and the zerg is not really the guy outexpanding anyone there anymore (actually zerg expands later than protoss many games in 2on2). They are good to early pressure, not to overwhelm all with mass economy.
3on3 and 4on4: 3on3 and 4on4 are hardcore rush, it won't take longer than 5 minutes before the first player is being killed by a 3on1 or 4on1 attack most times, and even if both teams are even, the lack of expos will only lead to fights in the middle for the expos, which is a good thing.
Free for all: sux. Only newbies play it, don't bother balancing the map for that mode.

Really great work on this map, I think it's way better than hunters if you want a 3on3 or 4on4 game. even as a 2on2 map it has some appeal, as every game is different depending on position. Heck, I think it's even a nice 1n1 map, although controlling all those expos might be too much work for most players;)

Make sure it can be used tvb, this map is no good if it cant be. Also, make sure the chokes are the exact same size. Use buildings to check.

The middle expansions would be way too hard to protect, especcially vs Tank push. GG any matchup. Unless the player is an absoltue idiot.

Yenku please. We talk 3on3 or 4on4 here. Chances are the terran will be dead by a tripple 9poolrush long before the so imbalanced tanks can ruin the game;)

I personally don' care about top versus bottom, random positions are more thrilling, even if it may be unfair to some player sometimes. That's life;)

This map is mostly for 2v2 and 3v3 games, not so much 1vs1. The chokes are the same size, I also wanted to see how many Zealots it takes to block each main's bridge (the answer is 4).

I don't understand why it should be played TvB. Please explain...

To Cobra: If you are talking about connecting those expos with a bridge or something, I think it would be hard enough to defend 2 entrances at once, especially early game. Also, tanks could do a push from one min expo to the other quite easily, since they would be close together. Each player needs a easy-to-get expo, and if those expos were connected somehow, it would be a Terran advantage imho. Adding a cliff there is even worse.

No it wouldn't biggrin.gif It will be hard enough at it is to hold a rush by severall players, such a connection would make the map more imbalance and less fun. It would play like some really crappy blizzard map;)

OOPS my mistake, when looking at matchups i was only going through 1v1's im sorry. Its an honest mistake when your sick like a dog, ask psychotemplar, we were playing games and i was throwing up.

When I started making this map I had in mind Zerg players on 3v3 games. If you play "Hunters" you know that Zerg sucks on that map. So I decided to give them a boost by having a expo right next to their main, which would be easy for Zerg players to get and also defend. That way Zerg would have a better eco from the other players, but they would still be playing with 1 geyser like everyone else.

That is my general theory for making 6/7/8 player maps. If there are other ways to balance out the races on 3v3 please post them.

It's a get-together party thing for all members of SEN (or others as well) where we all meet in op sen in east gateway every saturday night and just play random maps. However, everyone usually plays Uberena (which is an ok map to me) but it's not one Which i would play over and over again.

What time CET is map night? I'm from Greece so if you log on at around 23:00 in the US I would have to wake up at 8 in the morning ermm.gif blink.gif confused.gif huh.gif

I just updated the map a bit, the mineral expos were too close to each other and siege tanks could attack the workers.
