Everytime I go to protect my map with proedit, it erases my sounds/music. It is very irritating. If you have any suggestions... please post them here. happy.gif

Readd your sounds with WinMPQ

Not everyone is a map genius like you, Legacy. I don't think he knows what WinMPQ is, or how to get it and use it. And being on a Mac, I'm of no use in aiding him with it. closedeyes.gif

I think that happens when you save with StarForge, and then with Xtra-Editor. (Not exactly sure)

All you need to do is open the map with WinMPQ, then click Add and add your music files into the map, then a pop up box will show up then simply type staredit\wav\ and your file will turn out like staredit\wav\music.wav (or whatever the name of you wav file is)

Then just save and it should work fine.

How to add sounds in the MPQ:

Download WinMPQ: http://www.staredit.net/index.php?download=159
Open your "map".
Add the sounds by making it compress the sounds on the best sound compression, clicking "Add", and inputting "staredit\wav\" as a prefix for your sounds, and they should play in the map again.

Thanks guys. I'll try all that stuff when my computers back online. I'm on my mom's right now.
