I've been playing Halo 2 for like 7 hours straight now, except to eat and go to the bathroom and frankly I'm not that impressed at all.
I'm almost done with singleplayer, I've alreadfy finished the Halo Temples thing and killed that Covenant dude in the flying pod. It's in Normal dificulty.
I've also played like 30mins of Mulitplayer Co-Op and Vs and it got boring after a while.
Basicly, Halo 2 has some great graphics and storyline. Gameplay is quite good the first couple of hours but then it gets very very repetitive and thats the problem.
My Conclusion: I should've rented NFS:Underground 2 instead of Halo 2.
It is a good game, but you need to play with people that are the same skill level as you (this probably means online.) It has great online play, because with 8 player Free For All, it gets hectic, and it is very fun. The single player is not too good, and the same consoule 1v1 or 2v2 is okay, but it is much better with 8v8 or some other nice matchup.
Well you're not alone Beer. I know some other people who wasn't as impressed as some were. PLUS theres another thing. The ending just plain sucks. I'm not saying I don't like it though.
there is no reason to be impressd with it. They took to many short cuts and stuff, i guess it is "fun on Live" but single sux if u don't have live ur screwd lol.
over all its not the best game out there but its not the worst i think it has some fun aspects to it
You would have been dissapointed by NFS as well. I know I didn't like either.
Halo 2 is a game designed to play on xbox live, It is VERY boring to play with friends at your own house, And just play campaign all day.
I'm going to try out the Live on Saturday to see if it's any good.
Another problem with Halo 2 is it's intensive similarity with Halo 1. It's more like an expansion than a sequel.
They don't want to change too much because they have some stuff planned for Halo 3.
Halo is fun when you play it once in a while like I do. It is like starcraft, very boring on single player if you play it too much. You need the online aspect to make it fun.

everyone knows that
Hlo2's storyline is good
single player is easy and kinda gets boring
MAINLY PEOPLE bought it for LIVE cuz live owns

If you don't have Xbox live, it's worth crap. I guess that's what it boils down to.
i dont got Xbox live this sucks i wish i had it
i dont got no credit card to sign up for i got bored of the game after 3 days of single and playing the same level gets quite boring i wish i had xbox live man and is there seriously going to be a flame thrower for halo3?
im a car maniac so i like Nfsu2 i loved that game but graphics could be a little better its prety fun i wonder if there will be a nfsu3
So in order for the Xbox or Halo 2 to be worth anything you have to continue paying for it at $50 a month? Sounds great to me!
ADDITION:
violentj, why don't you sign up for Xbox live using your credit card then?
Its $50 per year, $5 per month.
Well, if you don't get Halo 2, I guess you miss out on the chance of playing vs the great Yoshi

Except monthly magazines are usually $19.95 and you don't need to have cable or dsl to enjoy them.

That is telling me you don't not have a credit card, or in otherwords you do. Or did you mean that you didn't have a credit card?
I finished the Single Player on Normal difficulty and the ending was so dull. The only thing it says is: "Go Buy Halo 3 when it comes out."
I played a little on my friend's Live and it isn't very much different than Multiplayer on same console(s) on Split screen. We played 12 players on 3 TV's we brought from some of my friends. Live is the same thing as Split Screen except you don't have someone sitting next to you.
lol you really have a different taste than me

Halo 2 over Live is virtual crack. What you say, sir, is blasphemy.
Plus I think the Campaign is great and it's very fun to replay. I've almost beat it on Legendary.
I really love First person shooter games, But RPG's are better

, Halo 2 owns any First Person Shotter Game, Our for Xbox.
