Hello, I'm going to organize an SEN Tourney.
There will be as many participants as there can be made out of a power of two. (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc) If the number is close (15, 30, etc), some players may be advanced to the next round free. If the number is slightly exceeding (17, 35, etc), then the last players to join will be entered as substitutes. The deadline for entry is Wednesday, March 24. To enter, either PM Mini Moose 2707, or e-mail him at minimoose2707 at nyc.rr.com
Matches will be best 2 out of 3, all to be played on Lost Temple ONLY. Player's Race is to be determined before each match, and is not set. Players will be selected to play each other at random.
Rules.
Game Reporting
It is the winner's responsibility to report the results of a matchup. Replays must be sent to Mini Moose 2707, at minimoose2707 at nyc.rr.com, or somehow else gotten to him. If a replay is not submitted, the game is considered never to have occurred!!
Games
Observers are permitted in a match, but must leave if requested by any of the players. Should an observer be in the tournament and interfere with the match, they will be immediately removed from the tournament.
A decisive victory need not be won. Should a player be using bad manner tactics such as floating around as Terran, sticking Pylons in the corner, they will be warned at first. Repeated occurences of bad manner will result in removal from the tournament.
Hacks/Bugs
No hacks, spoofers, or other third party programs are allowed. Bugs and Glitches found inside the Brood War game are not to be used. Should a replay contain evidence pointing to one players hacking or abusing bugs and found guilty, they will be immediately removed from the tournament.
Times.
First round will begin on the entry deadline or the day after. From that point, each pair of players will have until the following Thursday to complete their best two out of three games. Should the set of games not be complete in the time allocated, then both players are disqualified. The next round will begin immediately after the conclusion of one round, but not before the exact one week date arrives. Games played before a round begins will be discounted.
Eligibility
Should one be unable to complete in a match, the player may drop out. By informing Mini Moose 2707, they can name an appropriate substitute. Mini Moose 2707, the tournament organizer, is not eligible to enter.
Prizes
Isn't this what we all wanted? Prizes are to be awarded as follows...
Semi-Finalist - 250 Minerals
Losing Finalist - 500 Minerals
Champion - 1000 Minerals
Total Prize award is 2000 Minerals.
So, time to train up, and get going.

Yea im not the biggest fan of it either but it is a stable melee map.
But id participate.... if Comcast would get off there asses and hook me up with internet!

You can not use any type of mod or enhancement while you play. If you do, it will also be detected in the replay. The use of mods will remove yourself from the tournament.
Corrupted Replays
If the replay becomes corrupted for some unknown reason, you will have to re-do the match!

Not enough people to hold a tourney. I would end up giving minerals to every entrant. I'll close this thread and hold a new tourney in the summer when people have more time for this.

I was thinking we could have a tourney with some of our affiliates in the summer. That may come moose. You can organize it if you'd like to.
