When i use starfire edit and sometimes even staredit get these weird units that on the (staredit) minimap their owned by player 7. and when i play the map the uints don't show up on the mini map and they're usally a black color. And no triggers work on them. This is a bug?

The units belong to a player greater than 12. My guess would be 255 - there's some way to make the mac staredit place units for player 255.

Macs can change terran units to player 255. What ever you are doing could be causing this. Is it when you use starfire edit it does this?
Is Starfire Edit like StarEdit?

My friend was once saying you put a bunch of zerg and protoss units and make them invincible, then put terran and make them invincible and they become black. I do not use macs so I am just repeating what he said. I may have missed something... I just remember openeing a map and it was player 256 (255).

Well what i did was place units for different players and then doubled clicked on them, made them invincible. Then they changed. I thought wow so cool, but they didn't do anything and triggers didn't do anything. So your friend did this too, so at least my computer aint crazy.
- anyways starfire edit is like x-tra editor on speical mode

Ok, yeah. It is because sometimes on MACs when you set them invincible they become Player 255. Also I had tried triggers setting the players in them to 255 and it doesn't work. Only use is for effects, because when you click them they usually have a green circle like they are your own, but they are enemy.
And I think every mac can do this. (Macs have the coolest StarEdit glitches sad.gif)

Those were player 256 units (not 255).

Silly me...I was thinking of the index. You're right, of course.

Touch_pad: They are indeed units owned by Player 256. Nothing special for PC users, but I don't think there's any way to place units for "extended players" for macs short of hexing and this little trick.
