Alpha(MC) has spent months of work into this.
and also has proven to me that he is a 1337.

Some people may think the first 1, and 2 are mediocre, but wait till you play the third. It is truly revolutionizing.
It features, a great battle system.
Item system, the usual "move to beacon".
But unlike other rpgs, the difficulty is very high.
I didn't beat it yet, but I'm on my way to the mountains after I got the extractor removed. (I died though).
Also, the spells are unique, with a whatsit,? 8 spells?

One tip I can give you here is save a lot. Because you are going to die a lot.

Good luck on the map.

Death claims all...

Alright here we've got another excellent RPG made by Alpha(MC). This is the 3rd map of the entire deathknight series. Unfortunately, i've never really played the first two, but based on how great this game was, i can easily picture how good those other two were and what they were somewhat like storywise. Very very well done. Too bad i died a terrible death happy.gif

What happens is that you and your buddy deathknight are going to encounter a multitude of bad guys and you must complete many rather unusual tasks. This RPG also provides an excellent game play as well an almost too perfect storyline. The dialogues we see in this map really engross us players into the RPG and it's like we're placed into their shoes.

Another irrefutably excellent thing about this map is the uses of it's eclectic sound effects and background music. When you enter a store or whatever, a really nice lively background musics plays and gives you the feeling that you are in some warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. When you go outside at night, eerie night-like music plays in the background and just sends a chill down your spine (not really, but you get what i mean). There's even dramatic battlemusic which i just love. I personally think that what makes this map stands out from the rest of the RPGs is the effective uses of it's sound effects.

The fighting style is very unique as well. It's not your typical walk-around-and-shoot-whatever-is-in-the-way RPG. When you encounter a bad guy, you magically get teleported to a fighting arena and you must fend off the enemies. As you get farther and farther into the RPG, it's highly recommended that you and your buddy stick together and fight the same battles for survival purposes. During the battle, you can cast spells like summons and you can use items like elixor and ether (i think that's what they're called...) to aid your battles. The various stores in each town provide many different things you can do (buy items, talk to the kings, heal, upgrade, etc).

This game is VERY VERY laggy however. I know why; it's got tons of sprites on the map. And especially when your other partner is playing with you (this is a two player map) and he (or you as well) have a 56k Modem, then thing's are gonna suck pretty badly. The lag will ruin the timing and sync of the music and give the map a very jumpy, slow, feeling. Yea that sucks, but hey, nothing in life is fair. And when we were talking with the kings, i happen to be walking around the store picking up many various items. Bad mistake. Right when the king was about to say something, i picked up an item which gave me a level up and a big flasher popped up right in front of my screen saying "LEVEL UP!" or something like that, which then blocked the important info that the king was saying pinch.gif .

However i like this game alot. The Replayability factor is high and will keep the people coming back for more. Creativity earns an 8.5/10 since again, this map uses music really well and totally gives an outstanding atmosphere. Originality earns an 8.5/10 as well. I've seen rpgs like this, but not as great as this. The terrain gets a 9/10. It's very nicely decorated and gives a very good setting for the RPG. Complexity earns a whopping 9.5/10 since i see many behind-the-scene functions working effectively and well. Funfactor gets a 9/10.

Overall it gets a 9/10. This RPG can really consume much of your time so be sure you dont have to leave soon, have a good and competent buddy to play with, and save often. And if you have a laggy connection, then too bad for you.
