Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Fog Of War

I'm using staredit on a map and i want the fog of war partially obscured for all players but it seems to be a hassle to do this by hand on staredit with a 255x255 map. I know on some of the other programs you can make the brush bigger to do this but i cant use those programs anymore so if anyone knows a shortcut to do it for regular staredit that would be appreciated.

By "partially obscured" I take you to mean "explored, but covered in fog". Is that right?

If that is your problem, then SCMDraft2 has an option to remove fog over the whole map for any player.

If you must use StarEdit, then perhaps place map revealers everywhere, and remove all of them at the beginning of the game.

You could post the map and ask someone to do it for you (who has StarForge/SCMDraft2). I'm sure there'd be someone who's willing to do it.

Using staredit simply hold shift (or control, i dont remember exactly) and click and drag over the entire map. This copies the effect for players 1-8.

I would think you're best bet, would be to use either SCMDraft 2, or simply hold the Shift/Ctrl button to fog the map for all players at the same time. I recommend using a handy tool such as SCMDraft 2 though.

You can get it here:

If you want to color hyperlinks, then do it correctly, otherwise you're screwing up the link. http://scmdraft.stormcoast-fortress.net/

if he cant figure it out than ill post it on here and id be very appreciative if someone could make the full map "explored, but covered in fog" for me.

as i said i cant install any of the special editors because my disc is too scratched to install so i had to dl a torrent of sc and not even bw will install, i can only play SC and use the reg staredit.

In StarEdit (or SCXE) go to the Fog of War layer, hold Ctrl (or shift, they both work) and remove all the fog you need. This will affect every player.
