Today I was playing doom 3 at my friend's house. It was so freaknig scary! I'm still shaking now.

But I thought it'd be cool if you could make doom 3 people. Liek Marine = Submachinegun and so on.

yea i rented that too. it was a jumpy game. i didnt get scared so bad that i had a heart attack. my cousin was playing it and he pissed in his shorts (he really did). i was laughing like crazy all day of what happen. but you know 2 things
1. i dont think a doom 3 mod would really do anygood. wut would be the use of it?
like my halo 2 topic i made, i think that would be good for an arena fighting game. you know?
2. Making an rpg for it is impossible because the game is incredibly long! + u cant do arena for it because wut good is that?

First of all, a Doom 3 Mod would reqiure redisign and restructure of many different units. This would result in not only a breach of copyright laws, but a ton of work. Back to the drawing board, son.

Gaming copyright laws don't matter on Starcraft gaming... The copyright only means if you make copys of the game, And sell it to make profit.

Wouldn't that also mean EVERY mod that changes gfx and etc is illegal?

Thats exactly why the copyright laws don't matter about starcraft mods.

The Shining was not scary, and neither was the exorcist, or any of those other old scary moves.

A Doom 3 mod would not really be good, because doom 3 is a FPS while SC is an RTS. it no work.

It wasnt scary to me, but everyone else says it was freaky... So i just thought im weird.

ON TOPIC:
I dont think Doom 3 executives are going to sue someone for making a DOOM 3 mod. Then id be sued for having a monty Python pic!

Heres the problem though, your taking a copyrighted monster and putting on a game that OTHERpeople may buy JUST so they can play YOUR mod. That is indirect Copyright Infringement. GG.

He's still not doing it for his own gain, and what are the chances of someone buying it for that reason?
It's possible, but unlikely enough.
