For people without broodwar, can you have a mod to allow regular sc people to do anything for broodwar?
Yes, You could edit some units, And give them the ability to do things as if it were BW, And SC.
Look around, I think someone already did this.

Some one probally created it, But it isnt here at SEN, Is it?
I looked around SEN, didn't find it. I have no idea where to find this sort of stuff and I don't really have the time right now to help you guys look for it.
all u do is talk chu no action it would be funny to see what u do if u actualy do what your talkign about

Sine no one has any idea on where to get it, I will attempt to make one, But I think I will fail miserably

ya, i remember that mod, it replaced some unit like the ion cannon and stuff and gave u all the bw units... but not the bw campaign, i think i saw it at starcraft.org or sumwhere, but i was thinkin that u would get in trouble for sumdan like that...
this is the #1 thing you can get in trouble with blizzard for.
I don't think Blizzard is going to care.
Although it is possible to add graphics for the new units, I'm not aware that the code for Brood War spells such as Mind Control or Brood War weapons like the Lurker's Subterranean Spines were included in the original StarCraft. I'm guessing that it is impossible, however, I've never had any need to research this, since I own Brood War anyway.
Blizzard might or might no care, but it is more likely they will, because its like downloading Brood War without paying for it.
Yes, They do care. There losing out on money.
If you were losing out on money, Would you care?
Thery're not losing out on money since you can't play the mod with other people runnign normal Broodwar.
They will lose out of money if the certain mod becomes very popular on normal starcraft, And 75% of normal starcraft has it.
99% of Bneters have never even heard of a mod, and never will ever...
I forget where I heard this from but 'A man without broodwar, is a man without balls'
Therefore, 99.98% of the male popluation has no balls?
LOL!
I meant if you had regular sc but not broodwar.

Actually, you can replace some animations that those unused heroes have for their attacks and use those for the Broodwar things. I can't really see how you would add feedback without doing some heavy coding modifications.
I will attempt this tommorrow, but I do not see how it would not work...
I'll try.
(Now all I will need is to find my Orignal CD...)
modding is already breaking the eula, and if you do this you are likely to get this whole thing shut down

and you cant play bw maps on sc so the only things you can do is play melee or sc ums with people with the mod. And I saw the bw mod somewhere on starcraft.org like 1 or 2 years ago.
Isn't the actual BW expansion just a bunch of updated SC files or added new files? Couldn't you just manually copy them from like someone else's SC folder and have it work? Like the broodwar.dat or something.
On another computer I got BW to work with just a broodwar.iso and only some SC files that I actually copied from my SC folder, and some SC files I downloaded off of a friend online, lol.
