Alright, as you know, i've been making some melee maps so i could enter 4 of them into the map making contest. I know that they aren't that great, but of the ones i've made so far, which four of these five do you think i should enter the contest with?

Spaceport Alpha:

I am making one more melee map to add to that list so there will be six to choose from...

Prominent Lands:

Derelic lands looks very pro to me. Either that or spaceport alpha. They look professional and well done. which they are!

There is only one map I can imagine making it into the mappack, and that is cryptic islands. derelicted lands is the next best, but judges will probably say it just does not look like an interesting map. Power failure looks good and plays well, but the zerg disadvantage is a real problem. spaceport alpha is just too tight and complex, and skyscraper could be cool when finished, but it does not look like it is. So send the first 3 of those.

Spaceport Alpha, Derelic, Skyscraper (gotta show off extended ), and Conflagration.

Spaceport, Power Failure and Prominent Lands.

Skyscraper is ok but it seems too big and fat. Eventhough you need the space to build things.

Personally, Power Failure is the only one of your maps i would willingly play on

Spaceport Alpha is my favourite out of those, Skyscraper is just an interesting piece of work that's cool to look at.

Power Failure, because it's balanced, and has a nice look to it.
Prominent Lands, Just like it.
Spaceport, the Uberness, Very good. It's well balanced.

all of them are very good. So I'll leave out the last one for you to decide. Skyscraper is a creative map, although the stacked terrain could lead to some very easy defense for terran.
Conflagration, a bit unbalanced, and a bit dull. but looks like it will be a lot of fun to play on.
Derelic Lands, and Cryptic Islands, are very similar. Although it looks too round for my taste, smooth. Looks good.

Damn, I thought you could only send in maps not shown before? I only entered Haven because I posted my other maps on SEN! Oh well, it was the best of my maps, anyways...

Cryptic Islands is good, and Power Failure is pretty nice, maybe just widen some areas a bit and add and 2 islands maybe?

How come they all hate your best map, cryptic island? power failure is NOT balanced btw, thats the main problem (tvz).

power failure, cryptic island, derilected lands and conflagration as a filler.

Most likely because it is not as pleasing to the eye as the others and not very creative in a way. Ppl comment that it looks like LT, plus, Badlands is the least beautiful landtype you can use, or most ppl think it is. Balance is important in a map, but no one will play it if it is plain bad lookin'.

Initially, my intents were to send these four maps:

Cryptic Island
Derelic Lands
Power Failure
And Spaceport Alpha

But after seeing soo many different and various comments, I think the only map im comfortable with sending is cryptic island... and MAYBE derelic lands...

Well you can still send 4. As a map tester I will probably just ignore spaceport alpha and probably power failure. There are already more than 50 maps sent, so I can't afford to got too much into detail with every map, as we only have 1 week to pick the mappack.

Cryptic islands. (even Panshck said it, hes a judge you know)

Cryptic island, has a lot of the similar format with other maps that I've seen. So I just think, you should send the more original ones.

Terran on cliff can defend very easily I think....
