Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Perfectly Cloaked Dropship

The way certain units cloak is very sensetive. I kno it is possible to perfectly cloak a Dropship because I have perfectly cloaked a Siege Tank. I have pictures, I just don't know how to put em in. The point is that I have a lead on how to perfectly cloak a Dropship: [attachmentid=9506] If a unit is Disabled inside a transport, the transport is affected by the trigger instead of the unit, but it is disabled in a way more like how the unit would be disabled. If a siege tank is disabled in a Dropship, the Dropship shadow will occasionally rotate like the tanks in the map. Normally, the Dropship has no picture and will crash if facing the bottom or moving up or left, but only if you look at it. When the tank in the Dropship is disabled, the dropship is unable to move or do anything, including unload (i don't mean using the cloak any unit trigger set, just disable).
P.S. If anyone know how to make a pefectly cloaked Dropship, please tell me

That map didn't make much sense...
To perfectly cloak your dropship, move it someplace you can't see. tongue.gif Can you actually perfectly cloak anything?

Uh, no?
I just tried to disable a bunch of different kinds of units in various transports, facing different directions and all that. Every single time, instant crash.
Your map made absolutely no sense to me.
And what exactly do you mean by 'perfectly cloaked'?

I think he mean by perfectly cloaked is that the unit is cloacked and is still able to move and load and unload I don't thinks there's a way but I try to do.

If that is what you mean by perfectly cloaked, you might want to try an arbiter.

using a arbiter wont necessarily "perfectly cloak" the dropship, you'll still be able to see the dropship. I think he's trying to make that u can see it completely, like those ppl who cloak bunkers in the bounds. You cant see them at all but its there.

confused.gif If the Dropship's cloaked by the Arbiter, you won't see it because it's cloaked... Are you talking about the cloak blur from it moving? Because Bunkers have that too, its just that they don't move.

Or are you talking about when you move the bunker so it fires from its original spot, but is located at a different spot?

as wut touch pad master said, i think thats what he's trying to do, cloak a dropship completely, but being able to move it while unloadind and loading.

i used the cloaked bunker as an example of perfectly cloaked.

What happens when you disable the dropship reguarly, place a detector, remove the detector and then enable the dropship? Isn't that how units are usually cloaked? [Not sure...]

Try this example map of what i think is a perfectly cloaked unit is. I did a marine and a zerg. I tryed this with a drop ship and it instant crash starcraft when ever i tryed to look at it. My map won't crash starcraft but sometime it does

When you "cloak" a Bunker/Siege Tank, they stay stationary. The dropship doesn't.

Most units crash StarCraft if you can see them when they are being disabled. Try disabling the Dropship somewhere outside of your sight range.

I think he was trying to use the super cloak trick? The one where you disable, enable, then order?

Dude, I dont think you can "perfectly" cloak anything but buildings...

I tried several times, but it crashes SC or it doesnt work.

If someone does it, send it to me, I would really like to see what it gives confused.gif

theres sort of a way to cloak a drop ship, well its not really cloak, the image is just not there!
First do the super cloak trick which devin was talking about. (If you don't know what that is dl my map/attacment a few posts up and open it up and look at the triggers.) After you do the super clock trick then do this trigger

'condtions'
-when player 1 brings unit to cloak unit spawn

'action'
- enable all drop ships owed by player 1 at cloak unit spawn

pretty much your enabling it one more time when the unit belongs to you.

:WARING: You can look at this drop ship, but you cannot move it, if you are stupid enough to move the drop ship starcraft will crash!
