Staredit Network -> Games -> Fable Finds
Report, edit, etc...Posted by www.com.au on 2005-06-01 at 05:42:39

ok, this is probably for people that have played fable.

just a thread for people who have found weird stuff or funny stuff or even hints and tips.

good luck.

things ive found:

- there is a guy in the bowerstone docks that asks you to get your haircut because his daughter likes that style and she'll marry you if you do. after doing this he asks you to change it again. and again. and about 3 more times.

i finnaly get back after all that and he says: "hah! i dont have a daughter! im just trying to make guild warriors look like fools!!" (ok, so thats not exactly what he said, but it was along those lines.)

i then proceeded to hunt him down and murder him slowly and painfully with a rusty iron axe.

- Getting your Guile up early in the game is a good idea, because when upped almost full, my freind managed to bring the price of a master bow down to $5,000.

post yours!

P.S- im playing it again coz im bored, so ill post new things as i find them out..

-If you go into the bandit camp after you kill Twinblade, then sometimes the bandits will sit down and put down their weapons which you can steal. You can get one called a "Crossbow" (No wood type in front of it) or a "Scimitar" I think.

-On the demon door that you have to get a high multiplier to get into, you can pull back an arrow for like 3 minutes and shoot the troll into front of it and get an instant 25 multiplier, when you only need 12 to get it happy.gif

The leader of the Fist Fighters Gang//Mayor of the town that hosts the third level of the FFG is invincible.

Once, while robbing a store in Bowerstone, a guard (as usual) instantly knew that I was robbing the place, so he wandered in and saw me. I didn't wanna pay, so I killed him and headed for Bowerstone's exit, and while the guards were firing arrows at me, another guard ran up and murdered her. I spent the next half hour murdering guards cry.gif

Not exactly something weird but..

-Playing the game through without using spells makes the game so damn easy it's not even funny.

Err, you can't kill people in Bowerstone....

you can if you have level 7 phisique and toughness and you got a hell of alot of health potions/revival things..

and my friend said that he was able to do the first 3 quests (just as you leave the guild, there are another 3 quest cards there as well as the wasp thing)

i cant do it, he said you need to go to oakvale and not use the teleporter once. i did that, and got to the renown level required for those quests and naturally they were gone.

pfft. what a load of folly.

also, isnt it wrong how you can marry guys? *shudders*

while im on that topic, if youre real good and spend lots of time with your wife *wink wink nudge nudge* then she gives you stuff.

i have a wife, and every time i visit bowerstone south (where she is) she gives me stuff. (ie; once she gave me an obsidian greatsword, another timeshe gave me a full chainmail suit.)

the way i got in was going to the cave and using the all around push spell that does like no dmasge but does count for hit, thus uping multiply then got out hit the troll a bunch then talked to door really quickly, whats in that door again anyway, cant remember.

Grr...I keep getting a stupid 403 error. I AM ALLOWED, DAMNIT!

Okay, in my original post, I MEANT to say Oakvale, and I also MEANT to say that the guards killed my WIFE. I just wrote the pronoun, not realizing I had never clarified who I was talking about in the first place.

Stoopid me.

Yes, the Bowerstone people ARE invincible. I think I read somewhere that ALL NPC's are invincible; that is, you cannot kill them with just hand to hand attacks.

I think it was the Dark Will user's clothing set, I unno...

I don't know if this is weird... But I wasted all my money on the youth thing to make me younger...

Since I'am so good, I have a halo happy.gif
