alright, that was homestar runner. But seriously, I have writers block.cry.gif and the papers worth 50% of my grade.cry.gif and it needs to get done by tomarrow.

How do you break writers block?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Yoshi da Sniper on 2004-03-21 at 22:59:26
How about not doing it so late.

Seriously, get off these forums and just do anything. If its due tommorow and worth that much your screwed.

first of all, I had done it. The teacher took it and all but tore it up and told me to come talk to her after class. seriously. So, I had to start all over with a new thesis statement and everything, which is a pretty hard thing to do, alright? I had to re-read everything and redo a pre-outline orginizer, the orginizer, and than rough draft...
...it went well up to the rough draft part.

btw, the paper's not due tomarrow; I'm on spring break. I just wanted to get it done by tomarrow so that I wouldn't procrastinate about it. It's called setting goals...
...and my teacher's friggin nuts.

the easiest way to get rid of writers block is to take a break from it, get something to drink play a game..Starcraft.., or come on here biggrin.gif then go back and it should help clear your mind, hmm that didnt sound like me at all just there lol

take it from a fellow procrastinator DONT do it

Yea the way I always use to break writers block is by getting mind Completely off that subject... by like either playing a game, watching a movie, going out for a drive... something to get my mind off of it.. and whenn i come back to it, im usually refreshed and can start thinking up new things.

an analytic essay on the works of O. Henry and how it relates to the American dream. Would you like to read the first part?

A life worth living is what many people strive to have. Although it has been illustrated many ways, an outstanding example of a life worth living is embodied in the American dream. The American dream is based off of the Declaration of Independence, which states two major points; one is that all are created equal, and the other point is that everyone has a right to pursue happiness. In order to achieve happiness and a life worth living, sacrifices have to be made. O. Henry believes that a life worth living is a life of self-sacrifice.
One aspect of a life worth living is passing this stupid class so I never have to worry about this moron again. O. Henry is a moron cause I have to write a paper about him. His critic even calls him a moron.

actually, he's a very funny writer. And very ironic and satirical. He writes sad stuff sometimes, but he is good. I just hate him cause of this stupid essay.

BLAA BLAA BLAA!! Stay up with your work now! I mean, God, I'm somewhere in the middle of nowhere, and I still get things done, like cleaning the nothing! Think about it, do it early or do it late, it always will look better early (And you'll be more prepared for college!) Yay, my bro is leaving soon!!!!!

Flaming X that is in no way helping FireKame finish her work. If you want to say things like this you will have to P.M. her.

I have no clue about this stuff... scared.gif
Sorry I can't be of any help. Maybe you should go to your local library or go to your school and ask someone for help. I'm sure somebody would help you if you'd ask for it. You could probably get it done in less then a day if you really set your mind to it and are full of ideas. You shouldn't have that much of a problem with it. Again, try asking someone.

I find the best way to break writers block is to talk to somebody about it. Once you talk, they can offer ideas, and those ideas trigger other ideas, which gets you a lot of ideas

Well, don't talk to me, because half the time I'm just plain clueless what is going on in here and I just make things up to make myself seem like I can interact with people! Wait, I thought FireKame was in NewYork right now...Can she hear me....

Anyway, I have the solution! Watch some show on T.V. studying everything they do and look for the Easy way out! This may not help, but for idiots it is the way to go! Thank god I actually do my Homework, or whatever.... Just ask Mindy...I think that is who you should ask...

I never read any of the rules. I just follow common sense. (and the rules posted at the top of the forums...)
