Alright, so since MemGraft can change button palletes, ability requirements, and so forth, this means that it would be possible to create a new race out of heroes, correct?
For example, Terran Hero 1(Kerrigan, I believe(As in, the order they're displayed in in the editor)), could be changed to have a peon(SCV, Probe, Drone) pallete, so she can mine, build, possibly repair/heal/whatever, etc, and be given a different sprite in Arsenal 3, possibly even a completely new made-up one, right?
Also, with Arsenal Zero and Arsenal Three, wouldn't it be possible to create completely new weapons, not just modify the current ones(I understand that there's a crapload of unused ones already, but I'm just curious)?
I've never seen anyone create new races this way, but I don't see any reason you wouldn't be able to.
If it is possible, then it would be neat to see it in some of our mods. I know that I'd be doing it once I can use my computer.

Except for the slight lacking in unsued buildings I don't see why not. but most MODs only have two races anyway tongue.gif

Yes, but how would you make the race selectable in mele???

Is there any way to change the units that apear at the start location when you load a mele map?

Well, since it's possible to modify gametypes(I heard of a mod which allows Zerg to start with 300 minerals and a different starting base if you use the special gametype it comes with), I suppose it would be possible to make the race selectable, though I have no idea how.

Still, the idea is to make a new race, not necesarily usable in Melee; just make a UMS version in which the player that's to have the different race has the preplaced units.

Meh, having only 2 races sucks, any given mod that's meant to be played and fun should have 3, if not 4.
Anyways, wouldn't you just be able to use the unused buildings(Cantina, Z/T/P Markers, etc) for this?
The main problem I see is that if you play a UMS map in which any of the units have modified stats, they'll have 0 damage for any that have unused weapons.

Unused buildings isn't a problem.

You just use Ion Cannon, warp gate like buildings. smile.gif
