Betsy has a crush on John based on what she has seen him do around his friends. He also likes her for basically the same reason, so he asks her out. Over time, Betsy realizes he likes different types of girls, so, in an attempt to save the relationship, she changes to fit what he likes. He does the same. After dating for over a year they marry and celebrate 65 years together before Betsy dies of terminal cancer.

Is this true love?

The fact that she changed for him shows that she truly loves him.

Edit: Yeah I accidentally pressed 'No'. Someone with powers change it tongue.gif

I don't think you should have to change yourself just to show someone you love them or so they will love you more, you should be loved for who you are.

Right. However, what they originally liked was what they saw them as around their friends. And who's to say they are the same around all types of friends, and that it isn't just a mask?

What's your definition of "love" and "true" love. closedeyes.gif I'd say it is true love, unless they are just stupid and lived together for 65 years.

kind of hard to say, because you can say either way.

i think it depends on the people.

It depends on alot, like who they are, what they changed about themselves, etc.

yes but youd think after 65 years, plus dating, that they would of figured out who each other truly are.

therefore it must be true love...
