Staredit Network -> Modding Chat -> Deadliest Unit Contest

If I were to host a Deadliest Unit Contest, similar to when Tuxedo made one except with different rules, how many of you would enter, out of curiosity?
It would still use the Multiple Scenario Maps Tests.
Assuming enough people would enter and/or want to watch, I'm going to keep the maps a secret so that the units can't be engineered to be particularily good at the situations I use for testing.

You can host a deadliest unit contest any time you like EzDay2, I would love to enter, it'd be fun!

I know I can, I just want to find out if I'd get more then just me and the odd extra person like you.

I would enter, but all I know is basic modding. Nothing fancy with .bin editing. But, I am sure I can muster something up. So, if you start one, I'll enter. Just give me a deadline and I'll try my best! happy.gif

Well, 4 'Yes's, once I have time I'll start thinking up the rules.

Writing the rules will be hard. Especially considering that you don't know all the ultra cheap stuff that can be done with .bin editing...

Anyone who doesn't know how to use IceCC doesn't stand a chance agaist Rhino or I.

What's so special about IceCC?
I admit, someone who just uses Arsenal3 will get shredded, but ICE should be good enough for me.

How do you know I don't know it all? For all you know I could secretly be some hacker modder mapper God that knows everything there is to know about StarCraft. wink.gif
But the point in the contest is to be able to make a rigged unit despite rules, so writing rules wouldn't be too hard.
The hardest part of it is my crowded schedule... >_>

I know, ICE and IceCC are basically the same thing, except ICE has bugs I think and is a pain to use in general.

I know writting rules shouldn't be too hard, but you need to make sure that units don't have infintite range and sight and can't shoot too many bullets with one attack, and are killable.

Also, using memgraft it's possible to use the same kind of system as units use to build all the different buildings to make it so a unit can cast all the different spells.
Can't wait to try that out smile.gif

Ya, I know what kind of rules I need.
And anyways, mine should still have some power, when you consider the fact that I'll leave-out any rules that might prevent me from using my uberness that I plan on. sly.gif
In fact, I'm planning on getting working on the rules now.

I'm guessing your unit will reflect your custom member title...
