Battlefront is one of my favorite games, and I can't wait for Battlefront 2. My only problem with it is the lag that occurs during multiplayer games... 
My friend and I usually play on a LAN though, so it's not really a big problem.

Battlefront is awesome!!! I can't wait till Battlefront II comes out. You can actually fly in space.

Unless Lucas arts screws up like they have with ALL of their other games...
Personaly BattleFIELD 2 will kick BattleFRONT 2's @$$ 50000 times and still have energy to spare... I find it a little pointless to be a jedi... if they are so powerful everyone will want to be one... But as I recal only 1 person per team can be it... Not very fun for everyone else...

If I remember right, you have to get like, a bunch of kills in a row, and capture alot of bases ect. to be able to play as a jedi, so only the good people and the people who work for it will get to be it. And if you just start going crazy swining and killing your own teammates ect. then you go back to a normal soldier.

Its one of the few games I can play by myself besides BFD and PD for N64. Thier bots are top notch but yea the lag is unbearable online for Battlefront. The Jedi factor for BF2 is that the commander on your team which is probly the first person to join chooses who is the Jedi. To maintain as a Jedi you have to keep killing nad capturing bases to keep a bar full that lets you stay as the Jedi. Also the controls for the Vechiles are being tweaked so they are alot smoother. Live and Reloaded will still kick all Live games butt this year besides maybe BattleField 2:Modern Combat which I think is gonna have 32 player online support for Xbox Live.

Only one you can do in the first one is a back flip. It's funny if you do it in a capital ship instead of a starfighter, cause you just kinda plummet, hit the ground and explode.

Indeed, the lag is extremely unbearable online. As for maintaining the Jedi, you must kill enemies, not you teammates, and capture bases. You must have the most kills to use the Jedi, I think.QUOTE

Bah, I clicked on this thread with a bit of hope that you guys were talking about Battle Front, as opposed to Star Wars Battlefront. Oh well...
Battle front was awesome. I haven't seen any recent game to have a similar mix of arcade and strategy. It's a Freeware game for Mac that came out ~1997. It's a tank fighting game. You are given a squad of tanks and you have to destroy the enemy's tanks. You can order your tanks, and/or steer one of them manually.
Still good IMHO, another reason why I pray my Classic doesn't get corrupted.
