Keep in mind, I'm talking about playing these games with people OFFLINE. So don't talk about Xbox Live or Sony's online.

When I'm with a friend, I find cooperative more fun than competitive many times. To really have fun competitively, you have to have evenly matched skill levels, so that one player doesn't dominate the other all the time. Cooperative however, allows people, to work together, no matter how good they are. Competitive always results in a player that feels frustrated and defeated as well.

Some great cooperative games:
- Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
- Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
- X-Men Legends
- Zelda: The Wind Waker
- Gauntlet Legends
- Star Wars Rebel Strike: Rogue Squadron III
- Alien Hominid

Some great competitive games:
- Soul Calibur II
- Donkey Konga

Some great coop and comp games:
- Time Splitters Future Perfect

As you can see, I'm a cube player here, but that doesn't mean this thread has to be.

Offline I prefer Cooperative b.c I play games all the time and I just dominate my friends and that gets boring. I like to play Co-Op on Chaos Theory with friends b/c it requires alot of team work. Madden is a very fun game to play Cooperative in. Have one player be the reciever and one the quarterback can be great fun. Or a 2 vs 2 in Madden is Competive and Cooperative and normally are very close games.

I would rather be cooperative, If you just go out and expect to kill a whole army by yourself, Your not going to get far without being cooperative.

Like Halo 2 for example, There is always competitive people that just want to go out and kill people, But your not going to get far when your bring killed by 3 other people. So being cooperative is the way to go to win.

Online:
Competative Definatly... The first real competative game that got me into Xbox live would be Rainbow6 3... Serriously it was just amazing competative play...

Offline:
Co-op... My friends dont like to play with me if I keep beating them

BTW: Bringer... Chaos theory is to easy with 2 people on co-op... You can beat co op with yourself and another controler pluged in on Expert... Ive done it... All you need the otehr person to do is to boost you up walls and such...

I prefer co-operative because I'm not insanely competitive. I prefer talking to a friend about what we need/want to do to beat a mission or something. Then work together to do it. It's a lot more fun when you play with other people against other people in my opinion.

I like Co-Op, because I'm good, like I can beat all my friends, but I can't beat the gurus who waste their lives playing the game all day Online.
I really only have 1 good Co-Op game which is Dynasty Warriors.
Also how is Wind Waker Co Op ? confused.gif
