Ok, I need a bit of help, cause I'm praying to god I can find a way to transfer data from one computer to another that is some-what a lond distance, for like 5+ gigs, of music, maps, and the such, is there a website that could let me do this? or is the best way to do this is having both computers in the same room being connected?

statistics:
1,5 gigs in maps
2871 songs
1 gig in videos

BTW: I'f I'm in the wrong forum (which I believe Im not), could you please move it?

Set up a network or something, or get an External Hard Drive and back up the files onto the hard drive, and then put them back onto other comp, or is that the point of putting it on another comp?

I just did this recently. I burned it all on a DVD-RW. In your case it would be two DVD-RW's.

Yeah, otherwise you'd have to transfer it 5MB at a time by PMing yourself attachments on staredit.

Which is why you have a very small limit. So you don't use up bandwidth that could be used for mapping, like its supposed to, for your personal garbage.

If you know how, take out your internal harddrive and stick it into the other computer and take all the files onto the new harddrive.

You can store them in Gmail, you can store up to 2.3GB.
If you don't have Gmail, I can send you an invite.

Donwside is that you'll have a lot of downlaoding to do.

You could upload them on several sites, And go to each site to get them all... But you better hope they don't die when you go to get the files smile.gif
