Hey hey, this is a new map... Tell me if Spiralus already taken or something similar..

I will post the map later on because i have no more space pinch.gif i don't know if the middle a problem, if you think, post your opinion please !

Pretty neat concept. Middle cliff is pretty constricting, but at least double ramps kinda relieves the pressure. Looks like a good drop map.

Are the mains big enough? All the expo's look well placed, but that middle looks like a !@#$% to play on because ramps only face bottom left/right (stupid staredit sad.gif ) Other than that its a cool map, i would change middle though. Up to you, your map.

the look is typical trcc-quality. I don't really feel the overall concept though. The ramps are too far from the mainbase, in tvp it's really a problem when trying to hold the wallin (you need scv to repair and they won't get there in time. So it's probably no wallin. I don't say it is impossible to play tvp without wallin, but it's really hard against good protoss who just do 2-3 gate goons.

Another problem I see is that there is no real neutral expansion, each one seems to "belong" to one of the players.

I think you need to add expands close to the middle.

For the tvp problem, if i put the main like this, would it help? I don't know how to put expand in middle, do you suggest me to add another one or to move both to middle? :S


Changes

1. The red's nat was way to far than the blue one.
2. Changed 1 of the bridges to a bigger one.
3. reduced the red main because it was really big.
4. fixed some doodads that may be a problem for unit AI and modified a bit the ruins in middle..


I tried with a computer and i don't think the mains are quite too far from the cliff.. If you think this mineral placement sucks for the mains, Give me some ideas happy.gif


If anyone interrested in playing a 1vs1 on my map, i would appreciate very much ! and post the replay !!!


Which version do you like the most?

Version2: It's now taking more time to reach your opponent, both expand that were on island are now in the middle, removed the gaz in the left top corner and bottom right corner and put them in middle. biggrin.gif

Version3: Well, i made a new middle with a sort of "spiral", a lot of people from teamliquid.net prefer the first version than the second because of its short way that lead to the ennemy base.

I prefer v3. Maps with very long ways favor passive and boring games, i prefer fast paced games where the unit count does not grow too big. The looks of v3 are cool, too;)

Both versions are cool, though. It's really difficult to tell which is better, as both have their pros and cons. v3 still has this lack of neutral expansions, and the distance on v2 is too long imo.

Nice map trcc. God, im on summer vacation and i cant even get the nerve to open my map editor to finish a map i started...
