This time, I've planned first before making the map closedeyes.gif
And I say this is my best melee map yet. What do you guys think?
The minerals and gas at your bases are at 2000.
The minerals and gas at the center is 5000.

It's a money map without any expos except for the thing in th middle, but without the space maps like fastest map have to offer. The distance between players is very very uneven. So even for a money map, it's bad.

Slayer DT he says its a money map because it's too small in size for such big mineral fields and gas, it would take like 10 seconds to get all your units to another's player's base thats next to you, plus if you're playing a 2 vs 2 and find out you're surrounded by enemy from both sides you're pretty screwed and have to build a lot of defence which slows down your macro. Remove 1 gayser from each base (leave 2 at the middle) lower mineral chunks to 1000 in bases and 3000 (since theres only one expo)in the middle.

1500 minerals, and 1 5000 gas is standard. Its a big improvement, but still very unbalanced. Its like a 6 player bloodbath almost, but uneven.

This is much better than your other maps, you're still improving, don't give up. It looks pretty even to me, but theres a lot of things wrong, such as it's money'ish.

Thats pretty much everything, but its still a big step up from your last map. Try out making more "standard" 1v1 maps first (main, nat, expo, normal distance etc etc)

It isn't a money map (only 3 more minerals and 1 more geyser), but it is imbalanced (it reminds of blizzard's maps, except some of them had f*cking 6 minerals at the mains).

Ok, so the final conclusion is:
1) 7 Mineral fields (1500) and 1 geyser (5000) at main and expos
2) Around half a map distance between players
3) Around 2-4 expos per player
I hope this is what you guys want me to fix

Here are but a few problems:

- Theres only one "expansion", which consists of a buttload of minerals and 4 friggin' gas in the center. No good.

- Each base has 2 gas, which might pass if they were far apart and an island map; however, its not, so you only need 1.

- Red and blue are already screwed, since they have two enemies on their sides.

- Bases have very little room to build. A lot of space went to waste because of those damned high ground surrounding the bases.

- Center is plain crap. Too much money and barely any room to get around in the circular fashion you demand.

+ what everyone else said. And mineral placement; yours are boring.

7-9 minerals, roughly. Maybe 8-9 on your main, then 7-8 on the expos. Since theres 6 players, at least 1 expo per player, and 3 up for grabs.

yeah, 7-9 mineral fields in main, 1 gas. enough space to build in your main (just try to build a typical terran base in it with editor if you are not sure), then some kind of choke (only 1) where you can wallin, a natural expansion with gas and 6-8 mineral stones. 2-4 neutral expansions, that don't belong to anyone be dafault. An open battlezone in the middle for the big fights. That's the standard way to do it, try to master this before doing more unconventional things.
