For the convience of DLDB keepers and for your own convience, if you are submitting only one (1) map in a submission, please submit it in .scm/.scx form. Submitting these files as .zip files will cause up to 3 extra days for approval. Instances of this have increased over the past few days, so I thought I should bring it to your attention.

I think some parts of filesnames are killed when uploaded to sen, though I'm not sure. Like have you ever seen a file with ( and ) that's not in a zip? I think they're just preserving the filenames by putting them in zips.

Yeah, that's the only reason I do it. But, hey, I approve my own files myself. wink.gif

Actually, the mutlipule map section was created for that reason. If you look at the bottom of that submit page, you'll notice theres two option buttons I created, so you can "override" the zip format with a scx or scm.

I do, and it still take soo much more time to deal with than just a map.

Meh, I just select all of them, right click extract all, then hit the delete button and enter right afterwords. Not that big of a deal.

I could setup my program to do that if I wanted but I want double click to open up the archive, not extract it.

I think that part of the problem is that he has to do that at all, instead of putting it in his maps folder and playing it.
But I'm not him, so I can't be sure.

Bingo, the 6 or 7 extra clicks to change folders to get the map, and any process of unzipping it takes much longer.

Bottom line, if you're too lazy to take a couple of extra clicks to unzip a file, the solution is, don't go into the downloads database biggrin.gif
