Hi
I started writing a script for a map-database where everyone can add maps. I plan on having a large number of good user maps in there, although I'm not really sure if I want just the very best, a massive number of maps, only user-maps or pro maps, too, etc...
I'm still at the beginning, so you have the opportunity to bring your own ideas. I am confident that I can script most things that are wanted given enough time.
The current web adress is:
http://www.panschk.de/mappage/
If the mappage is a success I could get a top lvl domain for it later on.
trcc is already involved, now I invite other mappers to post their maps. I want to stress that only good maps should be uploaded right now, so no alpha or beta maps please. If someone wants the password to edit maps, PM me, I don't want to post it in public as you can wreak havoc with it:D
Please pay attention to the naming rules: the map should have a name like (x)Map Name(n).scm. It is important to have the (n)/(o), as the last seven characters of the file name are cut off to get the map-name that is displayed on the site.

thx pekkel. I added a "comment" function, I think a possibity to rate the maps would be good, too.
I need more input, though. gogo add your maps guys, there are so many good mapmakers here;) (pekkel, at least haven is good enough in my opinion, too [I don't remember all of your maps right now])
Right now it is possible to upload anything with the script, I will fix that (dont want any 500MB cracked computer games in there^^)

you see, it is important to have the (o)/(n) in it. The number behind the map name in the maplist is the number of comments (there was a mistake in the script in an earlier version, thats why the number is off sometimes). Klick on it and you can comment on a map.
ADDITION:
I added a rating function and the comments should be bugfree now. I want to have every known pro map in it and good user maps. Please help me filling the database, it's too much for a single person
btw i wanted to add the WCG maps, but they are >250 KB. lol

It would be cool if I'd see you there again. SEN is quite inactive melee-making-wise, and panschk.de has the bigger melee community as of now.

nice site panschk. good luck on it, and also you have alot of maps there. How long did it take you to make that? Or did you get help from somebody?

Most of the scripting was done in one week. But what takes most time is uploading, commenting maps etc. I'm not the only user who is active on the page, some others like starparty, peatza, listoric and trcc also contribute a lot.
