I am working on a map for a while and I need to test it but my SC doesn't run! I formated my C drive and after that my Starcraft just doesn't work anymore. I reinstaled it few times and it doesn't work anyway! Every time I try to run SC an error message pop up. I have attached an image with this error message. If you know what to do or how to fix this PLEASE help me out.
Maybe it is because before format I had win98 and now I have winXp but I dont know about it!

Your base installation got corrupted it seems. smk\blizzard.smk is missing from your mpq archive.

Thanks Ill try it. But my SC cd is pretty old and it could be damaged but ill try!

Use WinMPQ to add this to your StarDat.mpq file. Use Smk\ for the prompt.
(Add the .smk inside the zip)

I did every thing you said but the error still pop up. I checked it few times and everything is right. I don't know what to do now. Maybe somebody could send me whole stardat.mpq to my e-mail (666dead@inbox.lv) ziped of course. I dont see a difrent way to run my SC! Please help!

If i recall blizzard's techsuport is pretty good at helping people with issues such as these. If you can't figure it out here i wouldn't rule that out.

Blizzard techsuport doesn't solve the problems but just says "try do that" and "try do that"

It's your CD, it's either too badly damaged or not present for you to recieve that error.
