Staredit Network -> StarForge -> Purple units...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by HaBiT on 2005-06-25 at 01:27:30
I seem to have a problem when I run StarForge. All the units on the map happen to be purple and I am unable to delete them once I've placed them. I downloaded all of the "Required File" things and it still comes out like that. Can anyone help me?

Sounds map-specific. Attach map?

Did you download StarForge from this site? Because that happened in the very old versions that didn't display the player color :/

Ya, from this site. And it happens when a I place a unit ANYWHERE. I downloaded StarForge 2.2 so I don't see how its the "old" version.

I'm a newb with comps so I don't know how to do screen shots. But anyways, its a purple box around the unit that makes it all distorted and its like there disabled in such a way that you can't click on them.

You messed up the installation somehow and SF can't find its palette files. Follow the uninstall/reinstall instructions in the troubleshooting thread.

I did that and it still came out like that. Could you send me all the unit files because I can't find them anywhere.

ADDITION:
Ok, I got the problem fixed. I was missing the Units.pal file.

ADDITION:
Oh, yay, a new problem! Now I can click on the units BUT I can't delete them. How fun is that?

when you download the 2.2 was there like 2 unzip files.
if so did you install them both and put them in the same folder.
