A lot of people are angry and sad about blizzards reluctance to make SC 2. Obviously they dont care about their most succesful creation all they care about is money and their baby (Warcraft). They have a f site for WC and their new game TA but no sites for starcraft except one link to starcraft ghost everything else BAM WC. Why would they ignore their most succesful son? SC is a forgotten relic ive seen many top games polls and starcraft is usually on there sometimes warcraft but TA is never on there, at least not the ones ive seen. Blizzard never really liked starcraft
from the get-go anyways they even wanted it to be like WC by putting a WC 2 format on it. Thankfully one of the creators got tired of the criticism from people like "orcs in space" and "warcaft gone purple" he went and entirely changed starcraft excluding the WC 2 format. Anyways im tired of Blizzard treating Starcraft like a middle chlid and just wanted to blow off some steam.

It's not that they never liked Starcraft... they just wanted to make in improvement on Warcraft 2.



It wasn't one of the creators, it was the whole development team at Blizzard

Yea they are pretty dumb. How can you hate the game when it's so damn popular? What the hell, no matter how much you hate it, if it brought you a ton of money and popularity you would at least give it more attention.

Well I guess they do at least acknowledge SC with SC: Ghost, bleh.

I never knew Stacraft came out after Warcraft II. I always thought Starcraft was one of their first projects. No wonder why the graphics on Warcraft are kinda "cartoonish"

Starcraft is one of they most popular games, from what I've seen. How can you hate it?

Lol I can't imagine what they were thinking with those beta machine shops on the factories rofl.

It's pretty interesting to see how the graphics and game changed from early alpha to the actual final, some things look so different it's hard to imagine how they could have transformed like that.

1) Blizzard shouldn't have sold starcraft. Because of that, I don't think SC2 is coming out on PC. It will be bigger for playstation and Xbox. This will probably lower the graphics also. Blizzard knew what they were doing so unless the new company does some research, SC2 will be crap. How different do you think this new one will be?

2) It is interesting to see how much a game changes from its first version to it's final. It would appear they can't get it right the first time though

I don't think there WILL be SC2. It's one of those things Blizzard is going 'Yeah.. We're working on it..' where as their entire department on SC2 is a broom closet. Face it, SC2 is on the line compared to the Warcraft genre. Blizzard is just hoping that people will forget about Starcraft so they won't have to make a sequel. And if your thinking it will come out on Playstation or X-box, it won't. If it comes out on those, it will be two console generations in the future before they decide to make it.

They don't hate Starcraft. If you actually would have read the news on Blizzard (I don't remember when though) then you would have heard the head production dude say why they don't wanna make a SC2. SC one is just so damn good, they don't wanna **ck the legacy up with making a shitty sequal! (basicly what he said, but in my own words)



You're probibly right. They could be working on it right now. Who knows?!

They already tried making SC for the console, and it sucked horribly, and sold shitty. So I don't think their going to make that same mistake twice.

I doubt that they actually talked to a production guy about SC2 .. Blizzard is so tight-lipped about its releases, and the main news on Blizzard.Com is WoW, so it must of taken place a while ago..

If they see a viable income in SC2, they'll do it. If not, you can forget about it. Chances are, it's going to happen. I belive Ghost is a test to see that, after all the Warcraft, that people still want Starcraft. I don't know, if Starcraft:Ghost isn't too good but people suck it up as Starcraft merchandise, then it might just make SC:2 go staraight to hell, since they won't need to try. Eh. Just give Ghost a shot.

I'd actually rather see an expansion, they could still make money off of it and improve the gameplay, without having to think up entirely new things for a new game, just expand.

Maybe if blizzard gets a huge load of money from warcraft and other games they will create an expansion for free to download off the battle.net site, like a huge expansion patch

i agree with devilesk.. of course it would have to be an ultra expansion to make me happy.. i want more things sc can do, kind of like warcraft (in 2d) in terms of compatibility.. u can make ure own spells on b-net, so people wont have to mod that much and it woul be b-net compatible. Rpg's would b so much better.

I hope they do too, but I highly doubt it. They seem to make Starcraft Über good then forget about it for a while why they work on something else, which I think is what they will do with Starcraft Ghost..

Don't worry guys, Blizzard will make another Starcraft game on PC. It may be SC2, it may be an expansion, or it may be something else.

Also, Blizzard knows that if they made another addition to the RTS portion of SC, and it was not at least as good as the original, the fans would get pissed beyond belief.

Blizzard would have to be pretty stupid to screw up the next Starcraft on PC. Like adding manditory heroes..

They can't make SC2 as long as their is a huge pro scene for Broodwar. They can't risk kill it, so they decided to make a non-competing game in the same franchise.

I think they are afraid that it wont be as good as the first starcraft.

Because SC was like the game of it's time, which meant they put A LOT of effort into it.

SC would have to beat all the games we have right now, including Warcraft ,to actually sell.

Anyways, thats what I think, I dunno too much bout Blizzard.

Also it depends on the gameplay.
It has to have high replay value, lots of action, a great storyline, great graphics, and much more.
Most of all, they'd have to think of something new to add to the game!
Like a Hero vs. Hero battle or something. They cant use the same game modes over and over again. =/

Heh SC2 has great benefits if you buy it, not only do you buy a great game, you can also relate to great communities that would be formed around the game! Take a look at the SC communities, you buy the game, play it, know it, and then take part in communities like SEN where you can discuss anything yet we all share a common love of SC.
