I've had this happen to me MANY times.

- Super Mario Sunshine
I just hated the story, getting a water pack only to find you need that one that you just traded is annoying and I hate collecting games, which makes me hate those red coin missions.

- Ikaruga
Critics have hailed it as an old-school masterpiece, but I think differently. I found it linear, dull and repetitive. I'm sure many other people think differently, but I'm not a hardcore gamer when it comes to console games. This game requires memorization, and doesn't have the openness that RTS games have when you choose different strategies. Coop is also only fun if your friend is somewhat skilled at this game, which is never, at where I live.

Warcraft 3. The story is OK (the first half I've seen of it, at least), but not great. Something about the crappy 3d cutscenes ruins the storytelling for me, though. The gameplay and levels are OK, but again, not great. If you're gonna be making something like this in 3d, but not bother to make it look high quality (or at least comparable to modern games), it'll take away from immursion (sp) a lot.

And since I've already decided to do my future modding for Half Life 2 (if at all), I don't really need W3 for anything other than something to play when I get bored and happen to have enough free time. Waste of money.

Final Fantasy X-2
Ugh. Where to start? FFX was a decent game, sure, I had fun with it, and it was really a beautiful game, but FF7 is better. The thing is, FFX ended fine, I didn't care what happened to Tidus. He stopped existing. Wow. Not only is there no justification for this game, I saw no reason for me to even keep playing it. The reason I liked FFX's battle system is I don't like "fast fast fast attack attack attack", I prefer actually having time to think it out, which I why I like board games. If you make a little mistake, are a bit too slow, boom, you lose. Not fun. Of the characters that were transferred, from what i played, Rikku was my favorite, and I only had a mild interest in her in the first game. The costumes they were given at the start sucked, and Paine is such an obvious "throw in a lesbian goth so lesbians, goths, and lesbian goths buy it" character that I just want to break my skull open. No reason to buy it, if you want something to get off to, go to google, and turn off the safe search option. Then search to your heart's content.

Splinter Cell - I bought it for $50, played it for 1 hour, didn't play it since and sold it to gamestop 1 year later for $3

Medal Of Honor : Rising Sun - I bought it for $50, never even took it out of the foil wrap, when I tried to sell it to gamestop he said the maximum he can give me is $1 dollar, jesus, such a ripoff but I agreed.

DBZ Budokai - Bought it for $50, sold it for... $.50 1/100 OF THE DAMN PRICE!

Medal of Honor: Rising Sun - I'm glad some mexican stole it on the airport...

SOCOM 2 - The online was good, but too slow (I mean COME ON! NO RESPAWNS!) and the single player sucked...

DBZ: Sagas - I just borrowed it, but it was grotesque...

I'll post more if i remember more...

Fable: I loved the game; wonderful graphics, nice storyline, immersive gameplay... but it's more of a "rental" game.

Dead to Rights: was fun for about....10 minutes. Or less.

"And Xbox 360 owners, stop bragging about FF11... Final Fantasy is about 1 player story focused RPG..."

??? Who here owns an Xbox 360!?!?

DID SOMEONE GET A PRE-RELEASE 360?!!?

NOT FAIR!!!!

For those of you who don't realize this, but FF11 has been out for Computer/PS2 for a while now and they don't intend on upgrading the graphics for the Xbox 360 release.

I VOTE SPAM!

lol, anywho...
Master of Orion 3. That game sucked bum. Major bum. They took all the fun elements out of the game, made them overcomplicated to the point where it took years to understand the basics, sucked all the fun out of them, and put them back in, out of order. Then spat on it just to finish it off.

Chuiu is so pro-PS2 it's disgusting. Take what he says about consoles with a grain of salt my friends.

*Edit* My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th copies of StarCraft after I lost the preceding copies. Oh, I'd also have to say Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 because the graphics weren't updated at all!
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Moonmonkey on 2005-07-03 at 23:37:48
nah, Neiji is waay more pro-ps2. He's gotten to the point where hes advocating for it in threads that arent even relating to the ps2....well, then again, thats what chu just did...uh-oh..

Yes, I'd definitely have to agree with you on that one. Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 seemed nearly identical to the first, except they removed the ability to open uncompleted rides. It was so fun designed a ride to get maximum possible speed at just the right angle, to try to launch people across the entire map.

Also, they took out the one coaster piece that sped carts up...the magnetic blocks or something like that. Those things were so useful...

Ive bought diablo 2 I think 4 times now. Well, three. The fourth I stole my uncle's copy. I wouldnt have had to buy it more than once if they didnt have the censored.gif ing copy-protection; I feel I have the right to make a back-up copy for my own personal use, no matter what. Sheesh. It was worth the purchases at the time, but its become so hack-ridden that I almost dont care to play anymore.

Deer hunter revenge or whatever...that game was horrible, lol. If I remember right, you just had to use the "fart" call ten times, and a guy would show up instantly. Very dull. It was like a 10$ joke. (literally)

I did the same thing.. bought it for 40$ at bestbuy with a gift certif.. I hated it, I got stuck at the part where you follow the guys coming up the elevator.. and you hide in the closet..

I gave up on it for like 5 months, but then, I tried it out again, and I figure out that you can punch people (with R1 or L1 I think)

That pwned, and help me beat the rest of the game. I want to try chaos theory.. after my bro is done with it.

Anyhow, one game, Simcity 3000 (unlimited ver), I was in such a rush when I was like 12 years old (3-4 years ago) to buy a game, and I thought it looked neat, but damn, you can't build a debt-free clean successful city even with the free build cost cheat!...(I read the tutorial book like 3 times..my tutorial city even sucked)

I found only 2 things fun.

-Loading a built city, like Tokyo or something and blast the crap out of them..summoned like 4 meteor showers, a tornado [or 30], whirlpools, 30 locust swarms, 30 more tornados..

-Getting a new map, use the free built tool, and use the rising option to create a giant pyramid in the center of the map... then build roads on it.. (somehow, it was really friggen steep, surprised I got them on there)

Every primarily-single-player game I have bought within the past 3 years has left me pissed... games aren't fun unless you are beating someone.

Almost forgot.. Starcraft.. for it has sucked 4000+ hours out of my life

or, 6 years to be exact.. urgh.. I can't believe I played this when i was 10, (when I started.. I think) that was the "wassup" era, man I hated that term..

Sim Theme park...I bought it for PC, and could NEVER get it to work, on ANY PC.
Got it for Playstation, and beat it completely within two days. I would set up a decent park, leave it on when I went to school, and when I got back, POOF, instant millionaire.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2...the game has a nice concept, but the steering controls were crap. Just slightly moving the analog stick would do nothing, but moving it the slightest bit farther, and you would spin out. Or just barely move it, leave it there for more than half a second, you spin out. The only way I could ever possibly steer was to continually tap the stick ever-so-slightly to the side repeatedly, leaving me with a very sore wrist.

Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions (or something like that)...it was entertaining to look out for about 5 minutes, and then fun to wreck into everything for about half an hour. Then it got really old.

And the single worst game I have ever purchased...

NIGHTCASTER. This game was so absolutely pointless... the battle system was so frustrating. (There were four magicks, each with its own color. You couldn't hurt a purple enemy with purple magic, cant hurt blue enemies with blue magic, etc tec, and every time you faced enemies, you would have an equal number of each color, so you would have to switch your magic style back and forth (which was a task in itself), making for a very annoying fight.

Now, as for a game I DID enjoy: Darkstone. The game was 5$. FIVE DOLLARS. Some people call it a cheap knockoff of Diablo 2, but the game I purchased was actually released BEFORE D2. And I never beat the game...it had so many levels, it was insane, but thats not why I never beat it. The game had a unique levelling/difficulty system: When you reached a certain level with your character, you could save your game, and start completely over on a harder setting. The enemies would be much much harder, but you could also buy equipment equally better. If you beat the game, you beat the game, and it was over. I always wanted to start over on a harder setting and try to see how high I could develop my character. I dont think I ever even got past level 40 or so...and I just recently found it, and it is the main reason I plan on buying the Ps3. I'm hoping all the extra hardware will help out on the games worst attribute: the freaking load times. Anytime you go into/out of town, or into/out of/down a level of a dungeon, you had to wait at a load screen for about two minutes. That's a long loading screen...Jade Empire has an average loading time of 20-30 seconds. I would often fall asleep waiting for a level to load, lol. Literally.
