Well, it may only be a fine in Yen, but what will hurt them worse is the effect this will have on their corporate reputation, which is critical in determining the trading value of their stock (and thus the "worth" of their company), and also in determining how they are reacted to by other companies.

Oh, and that piece of shit Microsoft, whose initial OS was a buggy, heavily copied piece of shit like all their others is somehow better? If you let Microsoft dominate, they're going to stop all innovation or a long time. Hope you like that XP, if you let them win, you'll see the XP 2 in about fifteen years.

For example, there is shady talk that Intel pays Dell not to use AMD products, even though AMD cpus can generally be faster and cheaper (and the festest, aka the FX-57 and X2-4800+, cost more, but are way faster than anything Intel has out there). $45 million is the difference between a good game doing very, very well and very, very poorly. Just think of it like Halo selling 10 copies world-wide.

Sony is a huge company a couple lawsuits won't hurt them unless it's a huge lawsuit.

That's a drop in the bucket compared to their income, and the average Sony product user will ever find out, nor will many of them care. Now, if they were found to be using second-rate hardware, or overpricing, then sure, but cheating on their taxes...hell, more people do that than not.

i could get a new x box if i sent mine to them but i dont think i have the box it came in still... and how come everyone i know has a ps2 that has broken or has broke.... im the only person i know who has had an x box break ...

Sony's game market is a drop in the bucket compared to their entire company. Like this PoS PC I have right now. It's Sony. Will I ever get a Sony PC again? Hell no. I'm going so far next time as to get everything non-Sony. Even the floppy drive. Why? Because after what... two and a half years, the hardware is becoming rather... limited in its operational spectrum. I mean, Autoplay doesn't work anymore. This shitty motherboard is slow as Hell. It was generally overpriced as a PC, but my mom was paying so what the heck.

Yeah Sony PC's look good ... thats about all I've heard though. I took a look at them and say "think I'll stick with building my own...".

Too bad PC > everything in existence. I mean, lol, Half Life 2 will still look better than Killzone 2 whenever the Hell that comes out. And the PC graphics will be a fair step ahead of the PS3 graphics by the time it ships. Of course, the required graphics card will cost more than the entire PS3 lol, but anyway... wait... how the HELL much will the PS3 cost? I thought they were shipping with the 7800 GTX graphics card, which costs like $700! What... the... Hell?!
