Unless you've been living in a cave for the last month or so, you'll know that a number of free concerts were held around the world today in a campaign to alleviate poverty in Africa.
This thread is not for the complex Africa issue (I may make anothe thread on that in SD), but for discussion of the concerts themselves.
Personally, I thought that the main London concert was fantastic, with Pink Floyd reforming for the first time in 24 years to put in a stunning performance. The Who did pretty damned well too.
It was kind of surreal watching these past masters alongside modern acts. Paul McCartney was amazing.
So, if you saw/are seeing any of the concerts, what did you/do you think? I heard that Deep Purple are performing in Canada.
I apologise if I'm making any spelling/grammar errors: I'm drunk.
