Mini_Moose, I don't know if it was obvious to you. But we finished. So what was the point of locking it, for the most part, your comment?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2005-07-04 at 01:46:23
Apparently you didn't read what I said, or you would PM me on things like this.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Trigonometry on 2005-07-04 at 01:49:44
Here's the thing, I don't care about making an image. Obviously if I'm making comments on the moderator. And not being afraid to speak my mind. Simple thing... Why bother sucluding it? Believe it or not people take interest into such things. Or like to leave input... Which is obvious... Becaue you would have just locked it with no words left.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2005-07-04 at 01:54:13
Here, let's do this my way.

If anyone **HONESTLY** cares/doesn't care about Trigonometry vs Warhamma40000, please post now.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Trigonometry on 2005-07-04 at 01:55:22
Or... Just lock this topic so I can just make a new one continuing!

Ban threat comes here-after this. happy.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2005-07-04 at 01:57:12
If I lock this, you wouldn't learn anything. Though you might not anyway, the chances are much greater like this. wink.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Trigonometry on 2005-07-04 at 01:58:28
You do realize the further you go into this the further you contredict yourself?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2005-07-04 at 02:00:03
I realize that, but you're the one that refused to take this to a private place.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Trigonometry on 2005-07-04 at 02:01:15
I'm sorry, you can private message me. Ever heard of the saying "it takes two to tango?" It doesn't have to go down to me to start the private messages.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Ultimo on 2005-07-04 at 02:01:39
I care about what you're talking about.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2005-07-04 at 02:02:14
That's great, but do you care what THEY (here) were talking about? And did it contribute to the community?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Trigonometry on 2005-07-04 at 02:03:07
What would you expect from an "anything goes" section?

No spam or flaming!

I would expect what it says at the top to go. I'm really considering changing the name now.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Ultimo on 2005-07-04 at 02:04:23
No, I don't care, and no, it doesn't contribute to the community. The topic isn't even semi-useful. I'll go along my merry way now.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Trigonometry on 2005-07-04 at 02:04:45
You should, since it's apperent false advertisement.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Ultimo on 2005-07-04 at 02:05:35
Or that you can't read the top of the page.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Trigonometry on 2005-07-04 at 02:07:14
Okay let's do this the fun way... It's called arguing it out logically.
This is where we start it out from YOU tell me what you think spam and flamming are.
Then we'll go from there...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Ultimo on 2005-07-04 at 02:09:02
Useless topics. I don't think I can get any more specific.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2005-07-04 at 02:11:32
I could eloborate for at least a page just on spam alone, simply because they're very open terms. There's lots of types, many degrees, and so forth. Something I simply don't have time for. Let me use your logic for something else though: If I had poor judgement, I wouldn't have been hired and remained in power for so long. Please don't twist my words, I am not saying I am perfect, but I certainly have competence at what I do around here.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2005-07-04 at 02:16:05
What they mean by "Anything Goes" and "Garbage" is just topics that are for discussions that do not fit in any other category.

Pretty much all it is is this:
Put whatever, as long as it is not spam or flaming.

Still pretty loose, eh?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2005-07-04 at 02:17:44
If we don't keep it loose, we're forced to provide specific descriptions which allow for too many loopholes and many burdensome rules. Yoshi's golden rule always helps: http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=395
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DevliN on 2005-07-04 at 02:18:00
That topic was basically a conversation between the both of you. It had nothing to do with SEN or oher forum-goers. MM had every right to close it, and if this is really an important issue to you then you should PM him about it rather than attempt to rally other SENers to join your cause.

The truth is you're making yourself look bad when a moderator is being completely justified with his decisions and you act like the immature kid trying to break the rules and challenge authority. You aren't hot shit. Get over yourself.

And now with the quoting...

This is obviously a message to MM, so why post it in the forum for everyone to read?

That makes no sense. What is he secluding? He's just being a good moderator and following SEN's rules in an attempt to stop a fight. And regardless of what you think, a fight would have started and this kind of flaming isn't allowed here. People aren't interested in taking part in your discussion about how much you disagree with Warhammer. They'd rather read it for cheap laughs. And that last sentence confuses me - so what you're saying is people wanted to leave input and its obvious because MM locked the topic without saying anything? How does that make any sense at all?

Ban threat comes here-after this.

Why do youfeel you need to be so annoying? Are you so smart and superfluous because you can wrongfully predict a moderator's next action? If you keep making new theads, they'll just IP ban you. And you wont be a martyr, in fact no one will remember you. So why tempt them?

You like to sound smart don't you? MM is sticking to his guns.

But see it does come down to you. You're the one who started the pointless thread in response to a comment Warhammer made, and you're the one who made yet another useless thread about how you disagree with MM's actions. If he closed this and continued the conversation in PMs, I have a feeling you'd reopen it and still try to cause a scene.

Quotes are apperently a favored and abused thing for argument. I use quotes, but not to the extreme. But I'll play the game.

"This is obviously a message to MM, so why post it in the forum for everyone to read?"

Exposure... Zero silence... End of point there. If you can't make sense of this one, tough luck.

"That makes no sense. What is he secluding? He's just being a good moderator and following SEN's rules in an attempt to stop a fight. Made perfect sense, your ability to understand doesn't. He didn't explain that it's his "duty." It makes perfect sense, because he was arguing the matter publicly. And yet that's the standard he set. And you know damn well I meant secluding.

"Why do youfeel you need to be so annoying? Are you so smart and superfluous because you can wrongfully predict a moderator's next action? If you keep making new theads, they'll just IP ban you. And you wont be a martyr, in fact no one will remember you. So why tempt them?"

Obviously you agree that if I continued that. Then I would be banned. So how is it wrongfully predicting? Pick a side...

"You like to sound smart don't you? MM is sticking to his guns."

Who are you to say what I like or what I go for when you don't know me? And fact is fact. He's setting a standard that he doesn't follow.

"But see it does come down to you. And I stand that I didn't start anything. I continued, but I didn't start a single thing... Arguments start with a provoker... In the initial post, do I have ANYTHING provokative towards Warhammer4000? Yeah, I didn't think so... It's no my standards, that it should be brought to private message. It's his standard, so be a roll model and follow up with it.

Devil or DevliN? I just get annoyed when people disrespect administrators and moderators. They're doing this out of love for SEN, its not like they're getting paid. And I'm sure they have better things to do than deal with 3500 crazy members and their issues. So lets cut them some slack.
